Two much anticipated Kannada films, Maley and Bullet Basya are set for a box office clash. While producer Jayanna and director Jayateertha have announced Bullet Basya release on July 24, producer R Chandru last night announced that he is releasing Maley on the same day.

With a big film Uppi2 releasing on August 14, these films do not want to withhold their releases any further. Both the films will try to maximise their returns in the three week gap.

Prem starrer 'Maley' which is being produced by director R Chandru under his R Chandru productions is all said to be released on the 07th of August. The film was supposed to be released by now. But the film's release got delayed due to various reasons more than half a dozen times and now Chandru and his team has fixed Anupama as the main theater and the film will be releasing in more than 100 theaters across Karnataka.

'Maley' has Prem and Amoolya being teamed up for the very first time and the film is directed by debutante Tejas who is a protege of R Chandru. Chandru himself has written the story and screenplay of the film apart from producing it.

One of the major highlights of the film is however the film has been shot extensively in rain. Apart from Bangalore, the shooting for the film has been held in Sakleshpur, Chickmagalur and other places. Sugnan is the cameraman, while Jessie Gift has composed the songs for the film.
