ರಾಮ್ ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ವರ್ಮಾ ಇರೋದೇ ಹಾಗೆ. ವಿವಾದ ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನತ್ತಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ಇಟ್ಟು, ಅದನ್ನು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಆಗಿಸೋದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಷ್ಟು ಎಕ್ಸ್‍ಪರ್ಟ್ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಾಳಾ ಠಾಕ್ರೆ, ವೀರಪ್ಪನ್, ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಡಾನ್‍ಗಳು, ಮುಂಬೈ ದಾಳಿ, ಹೀಗೆ ರಾಮ್‍ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ವರ್ಮಾ ರಿಯಲೆಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡೋದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತಿದ ಕೈ.

ಇಂಥ ರಾಮ್‍ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ವರ್ಮಾ, ರೈ ಅನ್ನೋ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಾಡೋದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ರು. ಅದು ಮುತ್ತಪ್ಪ ರೈ ಲೈಫ್ ಸ್ಟೋರಿ. ವಿವೇಕ್ ಒಬೇರಾಯ್ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿದ್ದ ರೈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಪುಟ್ಟದೊಂದು ಟೀಸರ್‍ನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು ವರ್ಮಾ.

ಈಗ ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನೇ ಪ್ಯಾಕಪ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ವರ್ಮಾ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ ಮುತ್ತಪ್ಪ ರೈ ಅಂತೆ. ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬದುಕುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಮತ್ಯಾಕೆ ಹಳೆಯದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿ ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಗೆಳೆಯರೊಬ್ಬರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತು, ರೈಗೆ ತಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಅದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ರೈ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಡ್ರಾಪ್ ಮಾಡೋಕೆ ವರ್ಮಾಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. 

ರೈ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಡ್ರಾಪ್ ಆಗಿರುವ ಕಾರಣ, ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್‍ರನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸೌಥ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಕೂಡಾ ಟೇಕಾಫ್ ಆಗುವುದು ಅನುಮಾನ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾಕೋ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ವರ್ಮಾ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಸುದ್ದಿಯಿಂದ ಮೇಲೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ 4 ತಿಂಗಳಿಂದ ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಶೋ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಇನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಶೋ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಶೋಗಳು ಶುರುವಾದರೂ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರು ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆಯೇ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಇಂತಹ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ರಾಮ್ ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ವರ್ಮಾ, ಸಿನಿಮಾದಿಂದಲೇ ಕೋಟಿ ಕೋಟಿ ಹಣ ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ರಾಮ್ ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ವರ್ಮಾ, ಕ್ಲೈಮಾಕ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನೋ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅಫ್‍ಕೋರ್ಸ್.. ಒಟಿಟಿ ಪ್ಲಾಟ್‍ಫಾರ್ಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ. ಅದು ಅಮೇಜಾನ್, ನೆಟ್‍ಫ್ಲಿಕ್ಸ್ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಒಟಿಟಿ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಅವರದ್ದೇ ಆ್ಯಪ್. ಪೋರ್ನ್‍ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಮಿಯಾ ಮಾಲ್ಕೋವಾ ಅವರು ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದ ಹಸಿಬಿಸಿ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರ್ಮಾ 200 ರೂ. ಫೀಸ್ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ಚಿತ್ರದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 2 ಕೋಟಿ ಲಾಭ ಮಾಡಿದ ವರ್ಮಾ, ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ದುಡ್ಡು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನಗ್ನಂ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಸಿನಿಮಾವನ್ನು ಒಟಿಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ವರ್ಮಾ, ಅರ್ಧ ಗಂಟೆಯಲ್ಲೇ 48 ಲಕ್ಷ ಕಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 20 ಗಂಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 70 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಚಿತ್ರ ನೋಡಿದವರು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೂ.. ವರ್ಮಾ ಅವರ ಐಡಿಯಾಕ್ಕೆ ಹ್ಯಾಟ್ಸಾಫ್ ಹೇಳಲೇಬೇಕು.

Ram Gopal Verma has announced that he has settled the dispute with Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi and the film Killing Veerappan will release on December 11. Last week Muthulakshmi had announced that she had got a stay on the release of the film from a court in Bengaluru. This upset the release schedule of the film.

Other Kannada films were also affected as they were planning to avoid the big film. Muthulakshmi had said that she had given permission to RGV to make the film on Veerappan only in Hindi but it is also being made in Kannada affecting her.

But RGV has announced that the issue has been amicably settled. The details of this settlement has not been revealed by either parties. But for fans of Shivanna it is a big relief. There were rumours that his other film Shivlingu would be released before Killing Veerappan. Now that speculation is put to rest. 

Ram Gopal Verma's new film 'Rai' which is based on former underworld don Muttappa Rai will be simultaneously made in four languages. While, the film will be made straightly in Kannada and Hindi, it will be dubbed into Tamil and Telugu.

The official producer of the film is C R Manohar and sources say, the actual budget of the film is 55 crores.If sources are to be believed, then the rights of other languages have already been acquired. The Hindi rights have been acquired by Eros International along with Wave Films. The Tamil version is said to be purchased by SIFCC president H D Gangaraju and the Telugu rights has been acquired by Wave Films.

In a series of tweets director Ram Gopal Varma has announced a new film titled Rai. It is based on the life of Muthappa Rai and will be made in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It will be produced by CR Manohar. RGV has said Muthappa Rai himself will release the first look poster of the film on May 1 which also happens to the Rai's birthday.

RGV has also tweeted photos of Bollywood actor Suresh Oberoi in Rai's role. It may be recalled that a Kannada film based on Rai's life starring Sudeep was announced a few months ago by producer N Kumar. The status of that film is not known. 

When asked about the role in Kannada, CR Manohar said that Suresh Oberoi was selected for the Hindi version and no decision has been taken on who will do the role in Kannada.

If everything goes as planned, then director Ramgopal Verma might take his 'Killing Veerappan' to Hollywood. Ram Gopal Verma himself confirmed that he might do 'Killing Veerappan' in Hollywood.

'Recently, I was talking with my Dubai based friend. He had seen thef film and was pretty inspired from the film. He wanted it to be remade in Hollywood. We are planning a complete new version of the film as people in other countries does not know much about Veerappan. In the new film we will be telling who Veerappan is and how he was killed' said Ramgopal Verma.

In spite of getting a National award for his performance in 'Nanu Avanalla Avalu', Sanchari Vijay was not flooded with offers in Kannada cinema. Now he has been roped in by none other than Ramgopal Verma himself.

Yes, Sanchari Vijay is all set to act in Ramgopal Verma's 'Killing Veerappan' which is his debut film in Kannada. Though Verma has not divulged any details about what role would be Vijay playing in the film, sources say he has a prominent role to play.

The shooting for 'Killing Ve

The trailer launch of Killing Veerappan on Shivarajkumar's birthday today had some surprise in store. Not only has director Ram Gopal Verma released the trailer in Kannada but also Tamil and Telugu today confirming that the film is being made in all three languages.

This will be the first time that a Rajkumar family actor will be seen in Tamil and Telugu films. But from the promos themselves it seems portions involving Shivanna may be dubbed in other languages. In the Kannada promo Shivanna can be seen talking in Kannada. In the Tamil and Telugu versions, Shivanna talking in Kannada towards the last few seconds has been deleted.

Another speculation is that the characters may speak Kannada and Tamil depending on the situation as hunt for Veerappan was by both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. But that still leaves out Telugu in which both Kannada and Tamil will have to be dubbed. As of now it seems Shivanna has acted only in Kannada version.

Just when everybody thought that Shivarajkumar might play the role of STF chief Vijaykumar in 'Killing Veerappan', director Ramgopal Verma has aroused everybody's interests by saying Shivarajakumar is not playing the role of Vijykumar, instead will be playing the role of a gentleman which he did not divulge.

'As of now, I don't want to divulge Shivarajakumar's role in the film. He has a very special role in the film and I want to keep it a secret' says Verma.

Verma has roped in NSD graduate Sandalwood to play the role of Veerappan in the film. Sanchari Vijay is also said to be playing a prominent role in the film.

There seems to be a bit of confusion over the title of Sudeep's film to be directed by Ram Gopal Verma. The film is based on the life of Muthappa Rai. Two month ago when RGV first announced the film he had announced that its name would be Appa with the tagline Father if all Godfathers.

But earlier this month an advertisement of the film announced the film's name as Rai.

However sources say that producer N Kumar has also registered the title Appa Rai in the Film Chamber. In the end the film's title can be any of these three. What is certain however is that the film will start rolling in December.

The theme music of Ramgopal Verma's maiden Kannada film 'Killing Veerappan' was launched on Saturday at the Taj West End in Bangalore. The event was a star studded one with many celebrities including Ravichandran, Upendra and Puneeth Rajakumar coming in for the launch.

All the celebrities wished Shivarajkumar and Ramgopal Verma and said they are looking forward for the release of the film.

The shooting for 'Killing Veerappan' is likely to start from Monday and Shivarajakumar is expected to join the team from next week.

Shivarajakumar has completed two films silently and looking forward for the release of both the films. Now it has to be seen which among the two would release first. The first among the two is 'Shivalinga' being directed by senior director P Vasu. The second is 'Killing Veerappan' being directed by Ramgopal Verma.

Though 'Killing Veerappan' was launched much later after 'Shivalinga', the film got completed first. But is yet to get a clearance from Animal Welfare Board. Meanwhile, 'Shivalinga' is ready and is waiting to get the censor certificate.

With two films ready for release, it is yet to be seen which among the two gets released first.
