Marathi blockbuster Sairat which is minting money at the box-office is all set to be remade in South Indian languages and actor-producer Rockline Venkatesh will be co-producing the film along with Zee Studios. The makers announced the news officially on Saturday night during the success party of the film held at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai. Rockline Venkatesh was also present during the announcement.

Radhika Pandith's comeback film after marriage, 'Adilakshmi Purana' is all set for release in July. Meanwhile, the songs of the film was released recently at Radio Mirchi office in Bangalore.

'Adilakshmi Purana' is produced by Rockline Venkatesh and is written and directed by Priya, who had earlier worked for Maniratnam's films. This is her first film in Kannada. The songs of 'Adilakshmi Purana' has been composed by Anup Bhandari, who had earlier composed songs for 'Rangitaranga' and 'Rajaratha'.

Nirup Bhandari plays the role of an investigative journalist in the film. The film stars Tara, Suchendra Prasad, Joe Simon, Yash Shetty and others in prominent roles.   

Kannada film industry's magnum opus 'Kurukshetra' which was released on Friday has collected 13 crores in Karnataka alone. Rockline Venkatesh who is distributing the film across Karnataka has confirmed that the film has collected  13 crores on the first day of its release.

Rockline says, the collection of the second day is 10 crores and he hopes that the film's first week share will be around 35 crores in both Kannada and Telugu.

'Kurukshetra' stars Darshan, Arjun Sarja, Ravichandran, Ambarish, Nikhil Kumar, Shashikumar, Sonu Sood, Haripriya, Meghana Raj and others in prominent roles.The film directed by senior director Naganna, while Muniratna is the producer. V Harikrishna is the music director.

Actor Yash released the trailer of the film in an event held in Bangalore. The event was attended by Yash, Radhika Pandith and others.

'Adilakshmi Purana' is produced by Rockline Venkatesh and is written and directed by Priya. The songs of 'Adilakshmi Purana' has been composed by Anup Bhandari. The film stars Nirup Bhandari, Radhika Pandith, Tara, Suchendra Prasad, Joe Simon, Yash Shetty and others in prominent roles.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has come to the rescue of at least 6000 workers in the Kannada film industry by issuing them two coupons worth Rs 1500 each.

Following the hardships of these workers with no work during the lockdown period, Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy chairman Suneel Puranik took the initiative along with renowned filmmaker Rockline venkatesh, KFCC President Jairaj and Actress Tara and Rudresh, who had approached Mr. Vijayendra Karnataka State General Secretary and the son of Chief Minister.

Chitraloka has learnt that it is Mr. Vijayendra who took up the issue discussing it with Mr. Yediyurappa, who in turn directing the authorities to issue the coupons, which has been handed over to Mr. Puranik for distribution.

If sources are to be believed, then Darshan starrer 'Rajaveera Madakari Nayaka' produced by Rockline Venkatesh and directed by senior director S V Rajendra Singh Babu has been postponed and Darshan will be acting in another film to be produced by Rockline Venkatesh.

'Rajaveera Madakari Nayaka' is a historical film based on the life of Madakari Nayaka of Chitradurga. The film is based on a novel by B L Venu and the film was launched in last January. The team has completed a small schedule before lockdown. Director Rajendra Singh Babu planned to continue the shooting in December and had even gone to recce along with the team members.

However, it is being said that the film is likely to be postponed for a further date as the film needs a huge budget and team is of the opinion that it is quite risky to invest huge money post Covid. Instead, the team is planning to do another film with Darshan quickly and resume with 'Rajaveera Madakari Nayaka' in the coming years.

The new film will be produced by Rockline's son Yathish Babu. More details about the film are yet awaited. The film will be launched after the release of 'Robert'.

Puneeth's new film launched in Rockline Studios The first look of Puneeth's new is all set to be released on the actor's birthday on the 17th of March.

The new film to be directed by Pawan Wodeyar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh was launched recently and the shooting for the film started on Monday. The photo shoot for the film has also been held and the first look will be released on Saturday.

Pawan Wodeyar himself has written the story, screenplay and dialogues apart from directing the film. Vaidhi is the cameraman, while D Imaan is the music director.

Chikkanna, Ravishankar, Achyuth Kumar and others in prominent roles. Veteran actress B Sarojadevi is all set to make a comeback to acting through this film after many years.

The Kannada film industry on Sunday stopped all the activities and supported the permanent water supply to Kolar district. On Sunday, many of the artistes and technicians assembled near the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and went to Kolar and held a rally to support the permanent water supply to Kolar district.

KFCC Supports Permanent Water Supply To Kolar District

S Narayan directed Manasu Mallige is releasing on March 31. It is a remake of the Marathi film Sairat which has become the highest grossing film in that language. Rinku Rajguru is reprising her role in Kannada also.

The film is about two youngsters whose love is caught in the caste system. Rockline Venkatesh has bagged the remake rights of the film in the four South Indian languages. Zee Studios is also the producer of the film.

The Marathi film grossed nearly Rs 100 crore at the box office.

Kichcha Sudeep has announced that he will make a film on Veera Madakari. This comes on the back of the announcement by Rockline Venkatesh that he is making a film with Darshan on the subject. Sudeep has said that he respects Rockline for choosing this subject but it would not stop him from making a film on the same as his team has been working on it for a year and half. Extending his support to the film by Rockline he sought support from fans for his film too. This will be the first time two films on the same personality will be made in Kannada simultaneously.

It’s true that my team and I, along with a few good writers have been working on a script inspired by the life of Madhakari for about a year and half. The team has done a good amount of research and have been planning to doing this film for long. 

The idea of wanting to make a film on Madhakari struck years back.  It took a bit for us to start work on the script,,,also inspiring me, wanting to direct again. 

Recently it came as a surprise when another film on the same idea was announced. Obviously a vacuum prevailed before a light struck pouring some clarity that “what’s wrong in it,,,nothing” .  Anyone is eligible and anyone can make a film on history. How many times has there not been two teams,unknowingly making a film on similar story and on certain occasions  both have been successful too. 

I don’t become the only one entitled to doing this role. Anyone is eligible to do this and I respect their team for wanting to do this film on our great Karnataka warrior. 

It’s an incredible team lead by Rockline sir. I know his passion towards cinema and well supported by the amazing experience of Rajendra Singh sir . I for sure know they will create magic on screen. 

This need not stop my team and me from doing what we set out for. It’s a dream too that we all want to achieve. I do not want to kill those dreams n hearts,,for, I’m not the only one who has been working for this day&night. I rather do and fail than stop now. After all I’m a Madhakari too :) .

My best wishes and appreciations to Rockline Sir and his team and I respect them for having chosen this wonderful subject.

Actor-producer Rockline Venkatesh has clearly said that the Artistes Association will not discuss about the producers problems unless producers who had attacked Ambarish recently apologise to him.

On 7th June, Ambarish had gone to the Karntaka Film Chamber of Commerce to discuss about the producers problems, but the producers protested against Ambarish due to various reasons. Ambarish who looked visibly upset walked out of the KFCC.

After that the Artistes Association has taken the issue very seriously and has decided not to hold any talks with producers unless producers apologise for the conduct. Rockline has clearly said that the producers must first apologise for their conduct before Ambarish and only after that the artistes will hold talks with the producers.

With artistes sticking to their decision, it has to be seen what decision will the producers take in the coming days?

Actor-director Pavan Wodeyar is all set to direct a film for Puneeth Rajakumar and the film will be produced by Rockline Venkatesh.

Rockline Venkatesh had earlier produced 'Ajay' and 'Maurya' for Puneeth Rajakumar. After that the duo could not do a film together due to various reasons. Now Pavan Wodeyar has been roped in to direct a film for Puneeth. This is Pavan's second film with Puneeth after 'Ranavikrama'.

Pavan has narrated a script to both Puneeth and Rockline and both have given their consent. The film is likely to go on floors in the month of March.

Actress Rachita Ram is all set to act with Puneeth Rajakumar in his new film to be directed by Pavan Wodeyar. Earlier, Priyanka Jawalkar was selected as the heroine for the film. But now Rachita Ram has replaced her due to various reasons.

Top producer Rockline Venkatesh has reportedly joined hands with with Telugu producer Allu Aravind to make a Kannada film together. Both wanted to remake the Telugu film Bhale Bhale Magadivoy in Kannada and therefore decided to collaborate.

Rockline will thus return to producing a Kannada film after making big films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Sources say Yash may be approached to play the lead role. The film is also being remade in Tamil and Hindi.

Actor-producer Rockline Venkatesh had recently announced that he has bought the remake rights of Marathi hit 'Sairat' and is planning to remake the film in Kannada. However, he didn't say anything about the cast and crew of the film.

Now if sources are to be believed, S Narayan is all set to direct the remake of 'Sairat' in Kannada. S Narayan who is currently busy directing 'Panta' starring Anup Revanna will be directing 'Sairat' remake, after 'Panta' concludes.

Meanwhile, there is also news that Ravichandran's second son Vikram has been approached to play the hero in the film. However, it has not been confirmed whether Vicky will be acting in the film or not.

Sandalwood film journalists and critics have come forward to constitute a Critics Awards. Kannada film journalists have launched the launch vehicle 'Chandanavana Film Critics Academy,' for the purpose. Century Star Shivarajkumar launched the Academy logo on Tuesday morning. 

Renowned producer Rockline Venkatesh, KFCC President K Jairaj and Kannada Film Directors Association president Dr. V Nagendra Prasad graced the event. The 'Kannada Film Critics Awards,' will be a three-month-process and the awards function is scheduled for January 2020.

The event was attended by senior Kannada film journalists including Chitraloka editor K M Veeresh, and its jury members for the award events.

Hat Trick hero Shivarajakumar said that such an award from none other than the critics would boost the morale and encourage actors, filmmakers and technician. "It is nice to see that the Kannada film journalists have come together for this unique Academy. I myself have been closely associated with the film journalists since my debut and it has been a great pleasure knowing almost every Kannada film journalists up in close. I wish the Academy a great success and I am always there for its support," he said.

Rockline Venkatesh too wished the Academy and extended complete support from producers and artists association, and so does Nagendra Prasad and Jairaj from Kannada Film Director's Association and Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce respectively.

Rocking Star Yash who is currently busy with the shooting for the second chapter of KGF, is all praises for his better half Radhika Pandit. The star actor who launched the audio of Adi Lakshmi Purana, has expressed that Radhika is a very talented actress and is hopeful of the success of the movie.

"It was me who first heard the story of the Adi Lakshmi Purana. I was impressed by it and eventually shared it with Rockline Venkatesh after I heard it again with Radhika, and thus movie took off. Radhika is a talented actress and it is up to her on what kind of movies she wants to take it up in future. Neither me or any of my family members shall ever come in her way when it comes to her passion for acting," Yash said at the event.

The actor also commended the works of Bhandari brothers since their works from Rangitaranga and wished both Anup and Nirup Bhandari, the best for their future projects.
