Nearly a week before release, the advance bookings for Darshan's new film Viraat has started in a few theatres including in Bengaluru. The Balaji theatre in Tavarekere has started issuing tickets for a 6 am show. Though the film was delayed by two years, there is no lack of enthusiasm from fans for Darshan's film.

Just like any regular film of Darshan it is being released on a very large scale. Meanwhile the music album of the film is doing well in the market. But its success will depend on how the film fares at the box office this week. The audio of the film was purchased for Rs 36 lakh.

Popular director A P Arjun returns after a gap of three years with a 'Kiss'. Plus, he has produced the Kiss too, which is set to hit the screens from September 27.

The lyricist, director and producer, is introducing two new talents - Viraat and Sreeleela to the industry with Kiss. While Viraat was seen in the popular Kannada tele-serial 'Jothe Jotheyali', the other debutant, Sreeleela is fresh out of college. The two actors have worked hard for over a year, taking various classes before facing the camera for Arjun's Kiss.

Though Arjun started Kiss as a director, circumstances led him to  become producer for it. He explains that he wanted to produce a film along with direction someday but situation made it happen a bit quicker.

Apart from producing and directing Kiss, Arjun has penned all the songs for the movie which is composed by Harikrishna. Of all the songs, Harikrishna's son Aadi has composed one for the Kiss. The director believes that his three years of his hard work to make Kiss a better experience will definitely be appreciated by the audience.

Sandalwood is abuzz with rumours that Sadhu Kokila directed Sumanth Shylendra acted film Bhale Jodi is releasing in Nartaki theatre on Kempegowda Road on February 19. Darshan's Viraat was released in this theatre only last week.

If the Bhale Jodi reports are true, it would mean that Darshan's film would be out of the main theatre in just three weeks! Viraat has released ater a delay of four years. But fans have responded to it just like any Darshan film. This week seven Kannada films have released putting enormous pressure on theatres. Some of the films released in January are also doing well and therefore there is a severe shortage of theatres. 

Actor Darshan has said that he is not interested in multi-starrers and if there is remake multi-starrer then he may accept the offer. Darshan was talking to few media persons after the trailer release of his latest film 'Viraat'. When asked about whether he is okay with acting in a multi-starrer, the 'Challenging Star' said he is not interested in acting in a multi-starrer.

'I don't find any director who can direct a multi-starrer. If I get a chance to act in a remake, then I may do the film as it would be easy. Otherwise, I would not act in a multi-starrer if it is a straight subject' says Darshan.

The shooting for Darshan starrer 'Virat' resumed on Tuesday morning at the Freedom Park in Bangalore. The shooting is being continuing after a two year gap. Darshan starrer 'Virat' being directed by H Vasu was launched few years back at the Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore. But the shooting was stopped due to various problems. Later there was a news that another producer Sifcc president C Kalyan has took over the project from the earlier producer Ratnakumar and the project would start soon.

However, Darshan had commented during the audio release of 'Ambarisha' that he would continue in the film if his conditions are met. Now it looks as if everything has come in place and the shooting of the film has started once again.

Challenging star Darshan new movie Viraat final song shooting was finished today afternoon and it was censored in the evening itself. Movie is directed by H Vasu. Chaitra chandranath, Isha Chawla and Vidisha Srivathsav are the heroines.

speaking to Chitraloka producer C Kalyan told `we finished all the work in the afternoon and all finished the censor formalities and now are are releasing the movie on 29th.

Senior producer and Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Sa Ra Govindu on Monday night released the trailer of Darshan's forthcoming film 'Viraat' amidst much fanfare. Movie is directed by Vasu and produced by C Kalyan.

The trailer release of the film was organised at the Citadel Hotel and most of the executive committee members of the KFCC including Umesh Banakar, M G Ramamurthy, N M Suresh, KFCC ex-president H D Gangaraju and others were present at the occasion.

Darshan said he advised the producer to think well before taking up the project. 'The film was stopped for three years and when C Kalyan planned to revive the project I advised him to think well before taking up the project. He has completed the film successfully. I wish him all the best' said Darshan.

The songs of season's most anticipated release 'Virat' starring Darshan is all set to be released on the 12th of January in Bangalore. The songs for 'Virat' has been composed by Darshan's regular music composer V Harikrishna and the songs will be released by dignitaries of Kannada cinema in a low profile function organised in Bangalore.

'Virat' is expected to release on January 29th. M N Kumar will be distributing the film in Bangalore-Kolar-Tumkur and Mysore-Mandya-Hassan-Coorg sectors.

The teaser of Darshan starrer new film 'Virat' being directed by H Vasu will be officially launched on Monday. 'Virat' was launched few years back. However, the film was delayed due to various reasons. However, the producer was changed and C Kalyan took over the production of the film. Now the shooting of the film is completed and the team is planning to release the film on Darshan's birthday next year.

Meanwhile, the team of the film has decided to release the teaser of the film on Monday officially.
