The exclusive mega portal for Kannada cinema ‘CHITRALOKA’ has surpassed five valuable years. Today – 26th June we are celebrating the 6th birthday of the mega portal. We cherish a lot of good memories in our journey. Immensely salute my father late K.S.Mallappa the founder of Chitraloka mega portal.
Sincerity and hard work has given us good results. In the last five years around 60 Kannada film websites have been designed by Chitraloka mega portal.
With some of the limitations we are trying hard to forge ahead. We believe in the statement ‘He who Does not HOPE to win has Already Lost’. There has been extremely good response from the surfers all over the world. The demand to know more about Kannada filmdom is increasing from surfers.
In the last year we have made some ventures and interesting inputs. We bring you the highlights of the last year.
We have tied with Digi-Quest, Hyderabad in providing the services of digital shooting to Kannada films. Some of the Kannada films have used the benefit of this new technology. Working round the clock and meeting the demands of the producers has received appreciation.
First time in Asia the Olfaction solutions was introduced through our portal to a Kannada film‘Gunna’ produced by Sa.Ra.Govindu.
Kannada children film ‘Devara Makkalu’ was screened at the Riverside International film festival United States of America. The credit for screening the film comes to Chitraloka as it has done the services.
Breaking news – beyond news – Actor Lokesh death has left a void in the filmdom. The generosity of the actor Lokesh was such that he wrote his wish that his body has to be donated. M.S.Ramaiah hospital received the body from the family members of Lokesh for medical purposes. The curiosity of Chitraloka was to bring it to the notice on what happens the leading actor producer’s body. It is only in Chitraloka the story ‘Lokesh Death Aftermath’ was published.
The ‘Kannadave Sathya’ musical evening of Global Consultants sung by C.Ashwath at Bangalore Palace was a mammoth function. Chitraloka uploaded the photographs of the event from the spot of the function. Ashwath’s musical function ‘Kannada Kavya Gayana’ was lauded from all over the world.
From the day we started on June 26th 2000 our hits on the day of launch was 13,665. Today Chitraloka surfers are more than 2 lakh per day. The rural Karnataka people are sending messages congratulating Chitraloka on the quick dissemination of news and views related to Kannada filmdom.

To top it all from today we are launching the Chitraloka-Halo World ring tones and picture messages. A portal venturing into this is for the first time.
