  Why cant U Direct some challenging Novel Subjects also? Why is it that you will be often changing your team from film to film (the ones You direct). Ex: Ashok Kashyap, S.Suvarna, Hamsalekha, ShivaRaj Kumar inspite of their good work?  We are eagerly waiting for your film with Desai. When will it come to reality? Recently Mr. Taku Kojima responded my query and said he would love to see U in Japanese films also. Please do not reject any offer of working in foreign language films like Japanese, as it will be a pride to your fans and kannadigas worldwide.
  Any novel that fits into my type of films I would take up. The changing of the team sometime depends on the producers with whom I work. I am too much interested in working with Sunilkumar Desai. Time should come. Accepting a Japanese proposal is not in the near future. A lot of working has to be done before nodding my head. As you said I am always there to keep up the pride and prestige of Kannada all over the country.

  Being grown from Kannada film industry, Is it fair that U worked in Telugu films when entire Kannada film industry was under self imposed ban when Dr.Raj was kidnapped by Veerapan? Tell me did U R Heart & soul allowed U to work when daily wage workers like light boys, spot boys etc..etc.. were under strike supporting Kannada film land IDOL. More surprising is U showed up in Jakkur airport to welcome Dr.Raj. Was it required? Is it "GOD IS GREAT" (from-->"A") or do U wann to say "Uppi is Great"
  Of course U R not great if U R heart don't beat for kannada.
  I hope U answer to this honestly.
  Firstly I honestly tell you that I have great respect for Dr.Rajkumar. When he was in the captivity of Veerappan like innumerable I was also in the sad mood. Coming to the point of working in a Telugu film – I have to obey a person who has invested crores of rupees believing me. I had contacted Shivrajkumar and family members and told them the position I am facing. With due respect and mind always on the kidnap issue I worked for Telugu film. In case you are in my position you would understand the delicacy of the issue. What I did was right under the given circumstances. When the good news of Dr.Rajkumar release reached me I rushed to the particular place. I don’t have to do any ‘Butatike’. Dr.Raj family knows me very well. 

  I am not reeling under the little success. I know the success is like a toy balloon in the hand of children with a pin. Don’t come to wrong conclusions and get diverted from the newspaper reports.

  I strongly believe that my heart beats more for Kannada than you sitting in California. If not you would have been in this State doing yeomen services. God give you good thinking power.

  Uppi is not great always. God only is great always.

  One can see a lot of unnecessary twists in your films (especially in your film "A").Are such twists really required to make the spectator interested.Is there no other skillful effort to make the film attractive. Cant the twists in your films be reduced to a minimum?
  
  The route to success is not all that easy. The viewers expectation is taken care with fear. Whether they accept or not is always constantly worked out. My idea is not to confuse or misuse. I am here to analyze and utilize the media.

  Why don't you trim your hairs? You should change according to the roles you play.
  According to the characters I am cutting my hairs. If I cut my hairs like others then there will be no difference between them and me.

  Why kannda movies are cheap. They are not up to certain standard. No kannadiga would like to see kannada movies. Just improve the standard of movies (music,smart heros,beautiful actress,good theme,pashness). I am also a kannadiga i feel shame to call my other state friends for kannada movies please improve kannada movies standard.
  Firstly don’t tell kannada movies are cheap. Kannada movies standard  is now at the international level. Being kannadiga if you don’t see kannada movies then which language movies you will see? Don’t feel shame being kannadiga. Love kannada just like how you love your mother. If you tell you won’t like Kannada movies then you wont like even your mother.
  Mother and mother tounge (kannada language) are same.

  In my films I have given more and more chances to the kannadiga heroins only. Example. Megha, damini, chandini, prema. Only if the character demands then we have to go the other language heroins. In my upendra film we had given advance to Deepthi Bhatnagar. When we saw Damini photo (she had sent me her photo in her fan mail) we dropped deepthi and placed Damini.

  I am software engineer at California, I am your fan. I request you to act only in kannada films. instead of having thousands of third class fans, please have at least 10 kannada fans. Don't think that Telegu's and Tamilians are real fans of you. It is only kannadigas who die for you.
  There is nobody called as third class fans. Fans are always fans. There is no language barrier for the fans. Don’t you know how many fans are there here for the bollywood artists? You are talking about the Kannada language. Why did you not find a suitable job in Karnataka as a software engineer, instead of going to California? You love Kannada but you want to work in US. That’s how even artists are. For artists there should be no language barrier. Wherever you are you always be Kannadiga. Promote the language.

  Thanks. But the only superstar is Dr. Rajkumar. I think you are not aware of the kannada film industry. Before asking any questions first know the news about the film industry. Now I am acting in H2O movie and Hollywood film will start in the month of May or June.

  I can’t name one. There are so many persons in Cinema industry. In cricket right from mike Turner to Sachin Tendulkar there are so many cricketers who are my favourite.

  Namaste upendra, please dont act in other language film. It is very heartbreaking for a kannadiga to watch your film in karnataka in other language. You being a local boy your movies should be in kannada language. you see the example of Maniratnam,Rajnikant, Kamal,Cheerinjivi, they all act in their language and it is dubbed in other languages.if you are doing in other languages, make sure that they are dubbed to kannada. It is really difficult for kannadigas to accept our own local boy films in karunadu  in other languages. Please rectify it. we are in shortage of talented people like you in karnataka.   I can imagine your mind friend. With the given area of work it is always Karunadu I think like innumerable people. To keep the high standards of Kannada films I am struggling like others. Sometimes what happens doing films in other languages stabilizes me monetarily. That is invested in Karunadu with my concepts and thoughts. This multilingual films is a new craze.
  As you said there is no dearth for talents in our Srigandhada Naadu.

  Firstly I am not settled down in Telugu films. It is an offer I am getting and all growing one would receive it. Secondly don’t get disappointed just because of this. I want to show there is a wide and tremendous market in Kannada. Inferiority complex is what I don’t like. Make money from other languages and invest in Kannada is also one of my thoughts.

  I’m from APS college. You have to tell me whether I have great sense of film making. Don’t keep your ears wide open for rumours. Of course I am still a bachelor.

  Distinct approach is what I always think. What is wrong in experimenting new things?  I tried to be different in film making from 67 History of Kannada films. That clicked. As you know from that the producers fall behind and the audience expect. Variety from film to film you will find in forthcoming films disprove your notion.

  Have you seen any of that type of characters in my films? You are asking this question just by reading the news in some yellow magazines. Films have to be changed according the generation.
