The
pent up frustration of reputed actor of Kannada cinema
Sudeep was made open on Wednesday at Bangalore City Institute.
The complete frustration Sudeep leveled against popular
tabloid ‘Lankesh Patrike’ for damaging his reputation
and attacking the family in its column. After a public
meeting in Chamarajanagar a few days ago Sudeep once again
made severe attack on Indrajit, the publisher of ‘Lankesh
Patrike’.
Don’t make
me bad. I too can confront in my own style by taking a
brief break from films on that person. The evening on
Wednesday Sudeep was invited to release the audio cassette
of ‘Mise Chiguridaga’ Kannada film by director Praveen
Naik. Soon after the release Sudeep spent most of his
time on the tabloid that perturbed him and his family.
I
have come here to stand on ‘Kale’ not on ‘Kole’. Because
I had not given dates for Indrajit he has been leveling
very cheap charges on me. He has written nasty on my family
too. Just in the first year of my marriage the tabloid
wrote that my wife had run away from my house. She is
very much in tact in our family Sudeep clarified. The
tabloid ‘Lankesh Patrike’ has spoiled the peace of our
family for no mistake. My parents are affected with this.
I am not a don. To sell the tabloids persons like me have
been targeted. My Paapa sold firewood and rose to this
situation. I am a pure Kannadiga and am here to work in
Kannada film. I speak Kannada in my home and not Tamil
or Telugu.
In life to
grow the effort and a person like Indrajit are enough.
Hadidde Hadthaiddine Ankobedi. In this world those who
have name only remain in limelight. Whether it is a journalist
or a Businessman. Even the enmity has reached to the level
of holding collar and fighting that should not come in
print media. I too can expose the shady deals of this
Indrajit added Sudeep.
Sudeep is
so deeply hurt from that particular tabloid column that
is already a few months old now. Sudeep waited for a long
and vomited his opinions. He has also agreed that he has
spoken enough and put full stop on this issue.
We are giving
this particular information in Chitraloka because a star
like Sudeep who is public property speaking from his agitated
mind has the news value to reach the same public that
reads newspapers and surf portals like Chitraloka.
SAREE
EPISODE – I have lot of good friends in the film
media. Journalists are also among them. I don’t have to
feel sorry for having given Saree to senior journalist
Ganesh Kasargod of Vijaya Karnataka. One day I found Kasargod
and his wife going to temple. He asked me when I can drop
in to his house for a cup of coffee. I said it is my privilege
to come to such senior journalist house. When I was invited
my mother told me that it is a practice to carry a Saree
to give it to Smt.Kasargod. I obeyed my mother and maintained
my family tradition. This is what happened. But this episode
has made rounds and appeared in that tabloid too. Veteran
journalist and theatre personality A.S.Murthy with whom
I had difference of opinion cleared it out in a media
meet and he was dragged in to that controversy. Why such
things should happen Sudeep questioned.
