The AKKA 2002 world Kannada Conference committee passed following resolution unanimously on July 18th 2002:

1. The committee took strong exception to the correspondence and statements released by Mr. V.M. Kumaraswamy. Mr. Kumaraswamy is not authorized by the Sammelana Committee to represent 2002 Kannada Sammelana in any capacity either in the past or in the future;

2. The committee requests all concerned authorities, organizations and individuals not to give credence or entertain any correspondence by any individual other than AKKA President Mr. Amarnath Gowda and Dr. Kudur Murali, the Convenor of Kannada Sammelana;

3. The Sammelana Committee has extended invitation to Mr. Y.K. Muddukrishna and many other noted artists and dignitaries to attend 2002 Kannada sammelana;
