CARELESS ATTITUDE - Flaws Continue Again
Nanditha Is the Real Singer!

The announcement of Karnataka State Film awards for 2002-2003 has once against given room for many mistakes. The attitude of the State government in picking the panel of right persons has lead to all flaws. This in response to the report published in Chitraloka yesterday.

When the year before committee created a blunder in announcing the wrong name of the singer – instead of Lata Hamsalekha the name of Chitra was announced, there was major talk in the industry and inclusion of music director is essential was felt. Now this year awards committee headed by veteran Vadiraj did the similar mistake once again.

The point pertinently asked this year is that out of 15 plus committee members were not able to recognize the voice of singer Nandita. Let us agree Nandita is upcoming singer. But have they not heard the voice of B.R.Chaya the wonderful singer of this state? Out of so many not keeping a vigil on voice is condemnable. A committee that is appointed is wrested with such responsibility.

With all said and done we at Chitraloka took a look at the reel No.12 of ‘Gandhada Gombe’ where the song in placed. We confirm that singer is Nandita and not B.R.Chaya. There is no name of the singer in the title card. Producer Srinivas confirm that there has been a mistake to such a flaw and he has given a letter to the Information Department accepting his mistake.
