KING OF KINGS DR.RAJKUMAR ABDUCTED

Every bit of activity in Karnataka State has come to a standstill. The reason; the matinee idol Karnataka Ratna Dr.Rajkumar was abducted by dreaded  killer Veerappan on Sunday night by 9.30 pm at his native Talawadu village Gajaanur Taluk in Tamil Nadu.

The 12 member armed gang headed by Veerappan began its operation and ended with kidnapping of  Dr.Rajkumar on the rainy night on Sunday. Along with Dr.Rajkumar his son-in-law cum brother-in-law  S.A.Govindaraju, Assistant director Nagappa and a distant relative Nagesh were taken into custody by dreaded smuggler and killer Veerappan.

Before abducting the Dr.Rajkumar who was watching the television programme sitting on the floor Veerappan handed an audio cassette to Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar who was present shell shocked with the activities.

The contents of the audio described that a representative of Karnataka Government has to be sent for talks.

Veerappan had ordered Smt.Parvathamma that it has to be handed over to the Chief Minister. 

Baffled Parvathamma came to Bangalore in the early morning on Monday and spoke to the Home Minister of the State and briefed the Chief Minister later to take immediate action.

Veerappan who had stopped his activities four years ago last kidpanned environmentalist and photographer  Kripakar and Senani in 1996.

Before taking Dr.Rajkumar and three others to the deep forest Veerappan himself brought the chappals for  Dr.Rajkumar and lifted the spectacles and handed over it to him. He then asked for the medicines and a bed to  pack for Dr.Rajkumar. Throughout his operation of ten minutes he addressed Dr.Rajkumar as 'Sir' and strictly warned Smt.Parvathamma not to divulge it to the police.

On Monday morning at 11 am the Karnataka Chief Minister S.M.Krishna, Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar, Member of Parliament Ambarish and a few others in a special flight went to Tamil Nadu to have talks with Chief Minister  M.Karunanidhi.
