PARCHED RESULTS

The government of Karnataka in the budget presentation for 2006-2007 has announced Rs.10 lakhs for ten more quality Kannada films and hiked the award money. Besides this the star war between Sudeep and Darshan was the notable development of this lackluster month – March 2006.

• Karnataka state award for 2004-20005 was presented by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy at Ramanagaram.
• ETV Film awards – Jogi bagged 10 awards in the maiden film awards.
  Rama Shama Bhama completed 100 days while Amrutha Dhaare reached silver jubilee.
• Actor Mithun got married to Rohini.
• Annamma Uthsava in Gandhinagar by 'Sishya' team.
• Sudeep honored media persons for the success of his 'My Autograph' and felicitated the original author of the film Mr Cheran.

• Director Prem and actress Rakshita engagement was dipped in controversy. Rakshita did not respond to waiting photo journalists at outside her residence.
• Hatavadhi and Nenapirali clashed over a theatre in Mysore.
• Raghu Mukerji hero of 'Paris Pranaya' was hospitalized for food poisoning.
• The release of 'My Autograph' and 'Suntaragaali' starring Sudeep and Darshan kicked up a row.
