MONTHLY
ROUNDUP OF MARCH 2005
MUCH
ADO ABOUT NOTHING
Audience
Wants Quality
The summer
month has been very poor in the industry front. Except
a few good steps by the Karnataka government like announcing
subsidy of Rs.25 lakhs to two children films and a few
others the films released in the month showed poor prospects
with an exception to ‘Rakshasa’ because the results will
be known only in April. A well made film ‘Beru’ of P.Seshadri
failed to reach for lack of adequate theatre for such
quality films. It is in this month ‘Aptha Mithra’ completed
200 days, Kalasipalya 150 days, Joke Falls 100 days and
Rishi reached 50 days of screening.
