TThe month of February is not very promising at all. Big budget films failed to tick. ‘Ayya’ scores among all five releases in the month. The month witnessed some colorful functions such as the lavish muhurth for ‘Thandege Thakka Maga’, celebrations of Aptha Mithra and Mourya at five star hotels. To top it all the controversy kicked off by M.S.Sathyu has irked the entire film industry.

• Give subsidy to all Kannada films that gets censor certificate excluding the remake films says film chamber of commerce. 
• Thara and Venu wedding. 
• Achala is renamed as ‘Haseena’. A film by Girish Kasaravalli. 
• Annya Girish Kasaravalli becomes heroine from ‘Desi’. 
• Mayur Patel website was opened. 
• Darshan and Rakshita both lose their weight. 
• G.V.Iyer ashram turns a studio at Ramohalli. 
• Dr.Rajkumar attended two film functions – Mourya 100 days and muhuruth of ‘Anna Thangi’. 
• Jayamala announces ‘Thutturi’ children film. 
• B.Suresh starts Film Club to promote off beat films. 
• A school in the name of Soundarya-Amar to start at Hesaraghatta.

• Actor, producer and director Srinivasamurthy of Devara Makkalu and director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar both condemn the subsidy committee as their films did not get subsidy. 
• M.S.Sathyu makes objectionable statements on Dr.Rajkumar, Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, Upendra and others. He has condemned the whole Kannada film industry. All round condemnation from the industry for Sathyu’s statement. The best statement was from Shivrajkumar – ‘Who is Sathyu?’ 
• Producer Kumar also expressed his dissatisfaction on the quality subsidy committee as two of his film did not get subsidy.
