The summer month April is somewhat good. Two were remakes out of six films released. The earlier month films released reaped good returns. Aptha Mithra is still going strong with 250 days, Rahasya a sex education film completed 200 days, Rishi reached 100 days of screening, Ayya and Murkha completed 50 days in this month. The top news of the month was ‘Kannadave Sathya’ Kannada Kavya Gayana by C.Ashwath and his troupe that attracted nearly 50000 people at Bangalore Palace grounds on April 23. Global Consultants has managed this event.

CONTROVERSY

• Actress Pramila Joshai and Thara exchanged unpleasant atmosphere.

• Shubam shooting was cancelled in Madikeri hospital.

NEWCOMERS IN THE MONTH OF APRIL Choreographer Harsha become an actor from Kashi from Village, distributor Vijayakumar became producer along with NRI Sadhana Shanker from ‘Jootaata’. Akash the hero of Jootaata, story and producer of Preethisu – Hanumanthaiah, director of the same film Siddaraju, Shwetha Chengappa and a bunch of TV artistes from ‘Varsha’. Mahesh Babu become independent director from ‘Akash’.
