Cine PRO's Touching Felicitation

‘Nanage Abhimanigalu Kottiruva Prashastigalu Yelelu Janmakke aguvashtidhe’ I have always shared what I have got in my career of 30 years. I am now part of Rs.30 crore Vikram Hospital in Mysore and Upahaara Darshini. The needy may make use of it. Vivacious Vishnuvardhan decked in pure white disclosed his first non-film activity at a touching felicitation function organized for him by Kannada Chalanachitra Pracharakartara Sangha – the cinema PRO Association. The occasion to felicitate is for the Life Time Achievement award he received from prestigious Film Fare magazine recently at Hyderabad. Perhaps Vishnuvardhan has not received so much of garland in his life. Varieties of garlands, a Mysore topi, huge garland, a wonderful memento, red color shawl presented by Cine PRO Association made Vishnuvardhan look more agile.

With all these awards I have become heavy and small. I came to see what’s going on after finishing Bachelor of Science degree from National College. Today I have finished three decades in films. For my growth the audience are responsible. I always think again and again at these felicitations whether I am entitled to it or not. Yet for others it is required and for me personally it is enough. There is nothing like the appreciation of Abimanigalu – fans. Pointing his observation on the attachment to language of Kannada and problems faced in the industry Vishnuvardhan opined that we have got lot to achieve and build up lot of love towards the language. Vishnuvardhan spoke after a vote of thanks by Nagendra, President of PRO association. Vishnu on demand thrilled the audience with a few lines from ‘Simhadriya Simha’ film Kalladere Naanu…..,

Earlier to this Smt.Nagalakshmi Puttanna Kanagal, Smt. Pattamal Veeraswamy, Jayanthi and Bharathi Vishnuvardhan lighted the lamp to make a beginning to the felicitation evening. Vishnu couple stood for the rain of flower petals with Archaks hymns and Aashirwada on the other side. Renowned playback singer Nandhita sung the Ganesha Stuthi and it is over to Ramesh for the take off of the evening function.

Ramesh recalled the Hyderabad Film Fare function and told Madhavan in his anchoring disclosed that ‘the man of elegance and excellence’ is Vishnuvardhan. When he was invited on the stage for the standing ovation of innumerable gathering was something remarkable. Vishnuji is actor’s actor. When all others get medal after finishing 1000 meters in running race this polite and gentle actor was given just after 300 meters. While some actors touch eyes and ears this scintillating actor Vishnuvardhan touches the heart and he is the pillar and probably because of that pillars are erected on stage.

Senior journalist PG Srinivasamurthy in his address recalled the growth and struggle of Cinema PRO’s in Karnataka. He also eked out from his memory ‘Naa Kandanthe Vishnuvardhan’. PGS opined that Vishnu has got many national and international awards to conquer.

AMBARISH – I am happy like Vishnuvardhan fans are happy. I saw the FF awards in TV. When I switched on the TV the first face I saw was my good friend Vishnuvardhana. At the function everyone was silent the crowd was not like today. I observed Vishnuvardhan sitting on the ‘Simhasana’. The man who fights, screams was sitting like sweet and humble person. That’s acting and this is real. Ambarish felt Vishnu needs some national recognition.

Producers of Kannada cinema – Simhadriya Simha producer Vijayakumar, Soorappa and Kotigobba films Babu, CVL Sastry, superstar Upendra, Doddanna, veteran actress Kanchana, Abijit, Ramesh Bhat, Srinivasamurthy, Umesh, Sunderraj and Pramila Joshai, Jayanthi and Anu Krishnakumar, Magic Ramesh, Prema, Akila, Manohar, Suresh of ‘Excuse Me’, R.S.Gowda of Thavarige Baa Thangi, were present on the occasion.

The President of PRO association Nagendra thanked Aragini for printing the invitation free, Sridhar Sagar for engaging the audience for 45 minutes with his saxophone, Subash Kadkol for erecting a beautiful set on the dais of Ravindra Kalakshetra. This has filled courage and a feel of fulfillment is noticed informed Nagendra. Veteran of 800 films as PRO D.V.Sudheendra, Ramakrishna of Brindavan cine service, Vijayakumar, Lingaraj, Harish, Babu, Kallesh, Basavaraj were present at the memorable function.

It was a full attendance inside the Ravindra Kalakshetra. The fans in the gallery enjoyed every bit after Sahasasimha Vishnuvardhan appeared on stage. ‘Ahaa Hoovina Haara Punya Madittu’ claimed one of the audiences. Another screamed Thirupathi Thimmappa Vishnuvardhan ge Jai, yet another told ‘Vishnu avara mele Namage Preethi Illa aadhre Pranane Idhe’.
