The
popular comedy hero of Kannada cinema Jaggesh on his 40th
birthday donated an ambulance to the people of Turuvekere
his hometown to serve the needy free of cost. Last year
Jaggesh donated similar vehicle for Periyapatna Taluk
of Mysore district. I am not a Tata or a Birla. I am doing
service to my capacity said Jaggesh.
Cutting a
huge cake of 40 kilograms with his wife Parimala and second
son (a sweet boy) at Bangalore Press Club on Sunday evening
Jaggesh admitted that 20 percent of his earnings goes
to social service. There is no politics in what I do.
In my next birthday I am intending to provide two Cheetah
vehicles to Police department in Bangalore, Jaggesh announced
for a thundering applause from his fans. Even the media
attended appreciated the intentions of Jaggesh. My Non
Resident friends have come forward for help in my social
activities. I call upon my fans and well -wishers to think
of development in their own way in their area. Then we
can construct a good society. Jaggesh was speaking extremely
well, on his 40th birthday addressing the media.
Twenty
years ago I was struggling to get Rs.300. I know the hard
days and never forget it. Today I have earnings for my
family and it is also left in excess. That’s why I am
doing this social service. I cannot forget Mr K.V.Raju
who helped me with Rs.300. I have in a corner of my heart
that I should do something good to him one day in a big
way.
When I look
back I feel that everything happened in my life very fast.
Starting from my marriage at the age of 20 to filmdom
ups and down it is ‘chaka chak’.
Jaggesh did
not forget to thank the media persons who have contributed
25 percent to his success.
