HATRIC FOR KANNADA AT NATIONAL LEVEL
Two for Munnudi and one for Matadana

Kannada films bagged hatric this year at the 48th National awards. Munnudi has bagged two awards and Matadana bagged one award at the national level.

Richly talented actor Dattanna – H.G. Dattatreya won the national award as best supporting actor for Munnudi kannada film. While the same film bagged the best socially relevant film award at the 48th national film awards announced in New Delhi on 27th march afternoon.

The meticulously made `Matadana’ – a deubt direction by T.N. Seetaram won the best regional film award out of the 10 Kannada films contested at the 48th national film awards.

It may be recalled after Vasudevarao had won the best actor for `Chomana dudi’ three decades ago. It’s only after that a senior actor Dattanna has won a supporting actor role at a national level.

Anil Kapoor bagged the best actor for `Pukkar’ Hindi film and Raveena Tandon clinched the best actress award for her wonderful performance in the Hindi film `Daman’.
