 The
sitting Member of Parliament also a popular film actor
Shashikumar is not to be found anywhere at this crucial
juncture of Cauvery issue.
Does people’s
verdict is meant for enjoying in personal life? This is
the serious questioned asked all over about this Shashikumar
who has proved his inefficiency. When this website made
frantic effort to contact Shashikumar in his residence,
at his elected place Chitradurga, in New Delhi too he
was not available. What does this mean? He has not issued
any single statement on Cauvery issue, never took part
in the protest rallies, not bothered to come to a solidarity
expressed by the Kannada film industry on Cauvery water
issue.
There were
four major occasions in the recent past for Shashikumar
to take part. Any sensible person with such a stature
would not miss in participating with the problems of the
people. When Dr.Rajkumar was abducted he was in Nepal
for a shooting of ‘Yajamana’ Kannada film and took a long
time to react on the issue. That too after Chitraloka
made an article `Where
is actor, MP Sashikumar'. The same film’s 25
week function he did not bothered to come. When he
stood for election from JDU for MP post he was reminiscing
his own film song Naanu Coolie Neenu Coolie…., after becoming
MP he did not do his coolie job. The power and respected
given him more kicks than his routine intoxication. He
was not seen in any of the functions except the muhurut
of his film Hendthi Andhre Higirabeku on 21/9/2001.

Shashikumar is not returning
the gratitude expressed by the Film Artistes Association is what his
own colleagues in the industry are talking. `Every bit of development
was brought to the notice of his family members. He cared his foot.
Before he was MP atleast he used to come to sets, eventhough he was
called as late latif. But now we don't know where he is and what he
is doing'.
When Shashikumar
met with accident the whole industry was behind him. When
he was unceremoniously removed from a film `Kanna Muchalae’
after his new outlook of the face the media and industry
supported him.
Now where
is he? Is it becasue he is elected as MP from JDU party
he has to keep silent? Is it becasue he has acted in Tamil,
Telugu films? or is there any other reasons? One thing
Shashi to remember is `first he is an artist and then
politician. Once if his MP turn is over and if he is not
an MP again then he has to come back to this same film
field. But then who cares for him!
The continuous
efforts to contact this Member of Parliament went waste.
This is not a lesson to the people of Chitradurga but
for the entire independent India. How reckless and irresponsible
a person can be. Shashikumar is an example.
