NO VOTE FOR DR.RAJ FAMILY

The icon of Kannada cinema Dr.Rajkumar and 20 plus other members of his family including his wife Parvathamma Rajkumar, three sons and brother Varadappa family could not vote this time since their names was not their in the voters list!  Today is the first phase of election to Karnataka Assembly and Lok Sabha seats.

Dr.Rajkumar was perplexed when he came to know from Poornapragna Vidyapeetha in Sadashivanagar polling booth that his name is not listed in the voters list. Dr.Rajkumar kept on asking his wife Smt.Pavarthamma till evening to exercise his franchise.

When chitraloka editor K.M. Veeresh spoke to Smt.Pavarthamma Rajkumar, she disclosed that she and her husband Dr.Rajkumar was most disappointed for having not voted this time. Nobody has given the list to them this time. `I had sent our Secretary to enquire in the polling booth. But to our shock he came and told that our names is not listed in the voters list and we can't vote. Being the citizens it's our duty to Vote. But it's their duty also to see that the voters names should be there in the voters list'.

In a series there should have been nearly 28 votes from Dr.Rajkumar family in Sadashivanagar. Only the name of Smt.Ashwini Puneethrajkumar was found and not anyone of the other family members. 

This is the first time in his 75 years of age Dr.Rajkumar could not vote. Thanks to election commission muddle. 

For such high stature personality while this is the fate, just think about the ordinary citizens of this country.
