Jackie Uncle Was So Humble

The child prodigy director Guinness Record holder Master Kishen writes on his shooting experience in his own words from Mumbai. Jackie Shroff appeared for the shoot in the role of Chief Minister for 'Care of Footpath'.

I left Bangalore on 10th morning 11: 45 and I reached Mumbai at 1: 45. There I went to the lodge in Sher-E-Punjab colony called stay inn. I dropped my luggage and I went to the hotel and had my lunch at 4: 10 pm. I and my cameraman went to the location and decided the set properties and finalized the location. It was 6: 00 by this time. I went to the lodge divided the shots and had the dinner and slept.

The next day morning I got up at 5: 30 and took bath and was ready at 6: 15 am. We went to the location and took the first shot at 7: 30 that is the shot where the chief minister comes and many cars comes front and behind the chief minister's car. And the next shot was of Jackie Shroff, I said him the concept and the dialogues and the translation of the dialogues in English and I said the character type and the feel of the scene.

The shot was ready and Jaggu dada came and he said lets go for a take. The first take was ok. I was astonished. He understood my feel and he gave me suggestion too. The press of the whole Bombay attacked me and Jackie Shroff uncle and the shooting was stopped for 2 hours, there were 75 Digital Video Cameras and 25 Still Cameras and on the same day there was a live at N D T V India and N D T V 24 x 7.

I am very thankful to Jackie Shroff uncle and he has given me one more on date to shoot at Bangalore

The day I heard from Jaggu dada regarding him acting in my movie I really felt very thrilled.

I was invited to Bombay for a program in which young achievers were felicitated. I went all alone to Bombay along with Gurukiran uncle. This program was organized by Bombay - Kannada people and Prakash Bhandari uncle was there too among the organizers. In that program Jackie Shroff uncle was called to felicitate us. I shared the stage with Jackie uncle, he was so tall both in physic and stature and I was there so small standing next to him. At that time when he came to know about my project he asked me " Kishan mereko ek chance do na, mein bhi tumhara picture mein kaam karna chahta hoo" I thought like all other uncles who asked the same question for a joke, even Jackie uncle is also making fun and I said ok. The program went really very well and it was an unforgettable trip to Mumbai with Gurukiran uncle.

After this I came back to Bangalore and kept myself busy with the shooting.

Then one day Prakash Bhandari uncle gave a call and asked me "Kishan what role have you given for Jackie uncle", I said uncle are you serious, please tell me, and he said that Jackie uncle really wanted to act in my movie. I felt very happy and immediately sat with all my crew and decided that CM character would be perfect for him, and I called up Jackie uncle to Mumbai and gave a character narration.

He said mail me all the details, and I did so. That very moment immediately I got a reply from Jackie uncle as "sounds good", gives me a detailed script and what will my costume be?" He also said that he was free on 11th of Jan, it was already 3rd and I had to hurry up.

After all this the shooting day had really come and I had to go to Mumbai.

At Mumbai on the sets it was really nice to shoot. Instead of a cordless mike a walky talky was used.

Jackie uncle was so humble and down to earth person. His portion of dialogue is in Kannada.
