‘JAYA’ FOR JAYAMALA?

The 50th Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce election preparations and nominations have kept the industry to make a wild guess. With Jayamala, Rockline Venkatesh, S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu, Basanthkumar Patil, S.Ramesh, Sa.Ra.Govindu, G.K.Kutty and Janakiram filing the nomination for the President post the ‘Musikinalli Guddata’ has already begun. On 26th November filing of nomination is over and tommorow the final list of candidates will be known. According to some of the industry persons Sa. Ra. Govind has just filed the nomination, but he will withdraw for Jayamala.

According to highly placed sources top actress and producer Jayamala has got the nod from the prestigious production house of Dr.Rajkumar. It is believed that Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar has proposed the name of Jayamala in one the meeting Jayamala had on 24th of this month. This is not a new development because Jayamala from past 10 years had been getting the support of Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar. Jayamala must be feeling highly relieved person with such a valued support. The result of other heavy weights has not yet reached the grapevine. Whether the election would be fought with all the candidates in the fray is not yet known. 

In yet another development for the post of Secretary of the Producers wing considered to be ‘Jeevala’ for approving the censor certificate, title registration and for other transactions of the producers seniors in the industry R.Lakshman, H.N.Maruthi, Joe Simon, Janakiram, Madhusoodhan Reddy are in the fray.

Nearly 1255 producers 1200 exhibitors and 750 distributors go the ballot boxes on 7th December to elect the new President and office bearers. This time there is no proxy voting. Identity Cards have been issued and no can alter it.

Meanwhile the recent announcement of the KFCC for its old members to register their names has resulted in Rs.3.75 lakh revenue to the Film chamber.
