Karnataka CM S.M. KrishnaThe Karnataka Chief Minister Mr S.M.Krishna will be giving inaugural speech directly from India which will be live telecast most probably in popular Udaya TV channel at 9.30 am Detroit time.

This for the first time such arrangement is made because Karnataka Chief Minister S.M.Krishna is tied down with severe drought on the one side and abduction of former minister H.Nagappa by forest brigand Veerappan.

Chitraloka has derived this information from Mr P.Ramprasad, Chairman of Entertainment Committee of AKKA who is also the President of Kannada Kootas of Northern Californina (KKNC).

AKKA organizing committee of 3rd Vishwa Kannada Sammelana supports Karnataka Chief Minister decision in not taking part in the festival because of two vital reasons.
