Sundeep Malani's Message (Sandesha) – SMS 6260 is a film for all age groups between 6 to 60 years. The film is about today's generation, the misuse of mobile phones and the consequences that occur due to it.

The film, although opens with a bit dragging in its beginning, the tempo goes to a high level in the middle and sustains it till the end.

The film's main protagonist is Janu, who is a call center employee. Roshan (Diganth) plays a rich Casanova, for whom wine and woman is the daily routine. At a weekend bash in a disc, Roshan meets Janu and falls for her. He follows her to the company where she works and joins the place as a Team leader. After a few reels, eyes meet and they both get closer to the extent of having pre-martial sex.

It's at that particular point, the film takes a serious turn. There is some suspense element in the film, when Roshan gets to know the real truth who the ravishing beautiful Janu is.

It's then that Roshan tries to avoid Jenny and the film takes a different turn to exactly why he does so.
Rest of the main characters play very important roles in shaping the film to give its ample support.

Badri is a DJ in a club, who is an ardent Chiranjeevi fan. He speaks Telugu and Kannada in the film. Krishna (Danny), a Tamilian is a marketing executive who always gets into a trap when his role happens to be in a comic relief. Rahul (Karan) is a HR Manager in a IT company, Mahesh (Arjun) is a software professional who is far beyond times of today's genre. His room mate Lal (Loy) is a Punjabi.

There is enough room for glamorous in the film. While Prithvi (Prithvi) is Janu's colleague at a call center, Julie Darling (Amithananda), a gay adds lots of oomph in his character. Tina (Smrti), Chrissy (Karen) and Tressy (Sony) have their roles at college campuses.

Besides, the film gets into another angle – the elderly age group of Dattanna and Jayalakshmi. Dattanna plays an ardent Aishwarya Rai fan, and Jayalakshmi always ends up pulling his leg when he gets into the character of Salman Khan, Vivek Oberoi and Abhishek Bachchan.

The film opens with kids playing then goes to the teenage group of today's society – the IT sector, Software techies, call center employees, the club-disc culture, and the campus life ending with the grand finale of the re-union at the Suvarna Karnataka occasion.

Performance wise, the film belongs to Janu, who has given a splendid performance. It is hard to believe that, after Miss California, she has improved a lot. Smrti in a small role is the best newcomer in today's times. She can be flooded with offers, if she takes an attempt to continue acting in Kannada films. Sony, Karen and Prithvi look beautiful and have portrayed their characters well. Amithanand, as Julie Darling is a new entrant to the industry is a treat to watch. Jayalakshmi, no doubt can give sleepless nights to todays genre of heroines. At her age, she has maintained to look so ravishing and does a salsa dance number in a disco. Diganth has been justified in his character by being what he is.

As a debut director, Sundeep Malani has done his best. He has managed to get the pulse of today's generation and today's audience. Although the film is Kannada, he has made it to wider audience of all sections. You can get to hear all the south Indian languages besides a few North Indian languages too. English of course is the main slice of the film. There is no background score in the film. But, you can get to hear songs played on a radio throughout the film. The film has no cinematic dialogues, but very realistic dialogues which one speaks in their day to day life.

Hamsalekha's Prema Loka song brings back the old memories of the 80's. Its picturisation at the college campus is good.

It's a must watch for all the IT sectors, Software professionals, College youngsters and the class audience – not to forget, the kids of 6 years to the cross over of 60 years too. Basically, an universal film without an age bar for all sectors of audience.
