WUdayaravi Cinemaz maiden production a tribute to Chi.Udayashanker and Ravishanker – father and son of actor, producer and director Gurudutt is diligently made. This film starring Darshan, Komal and Ramya is different from all other Darshan films. Gurudutt with very strong cultural backing and responsibility on his shoulders does not make even a scene look vulgar. The dialogues are also not having double meaning. There is no uneasy atmosphere for the family audience and this is no doubt a spectacular treat for Darshan fans.

Firstly director Gurudutt is blessed with good screenplay, story and dialogues. The ordinary becomes extraordinary as the film progress. Lilting tunes by Patnayak and Ramesh Babu's camera expertise further heightens the level of the film.

Besides the action masala, twists and turns there is very good family sentiment. Orphans in the society need not feel that they are left out on the streets. What best they can do and how best they can live is also brought out in a dramatic style. Forget about pick pocketing shown in the film.

Datha (Darshan) is an extrovert. He is an orphan. He is a street smart. He takes care of every problem of his people from his 'pocket maar' activity. This orphan has a funny orphan Tingu (Komal). Datha in one of his major burglary with Tingu falls in love with the sleeping beauty. From where Tingu bring home the diary that explains the needs of the beautiful girl Ramya in life. So the avatar of Datha changes accordingly to appease her. But in a major booty Datha gets hold – a suitcase full of heroin he is locked in the problem with Basha. The muscle power of Datha save him and this Basha rise again in the end. In the middle Datha is under the pretension that it is Basha and gang are behind him but that is a different story.

Datha is now a hired son in the post interval. The shrewd man who hires Datha wants to get his actual son back to his house after 20 years. This is after duplicate son is finished by his rival gang. But things turn topsy- turvy for the hired father. Datha is delectable and gutsy in handling any given situation. He comes to the house of affluent family and he gets the affection of mother. He is recognized as Raju and his ailing mother recovers completely. The rich man with cruel attitude who bought Datha is in a fix now. His real son is waiting to come back but the situation is not permitting in this house. Further attack on Datha, the shrewd rich man finally taking extreme step and its impact in coming reels changes the whole complexion of the film. Datha who feels that he is orphan finds many orphans around him. He uses his brain power and magnanimity instead of taking revenge. The fake son Datha works out a strategy to bring the climax to the finer tune. Enter Basha and another villain just 20 minutes before the marriage in the family. Datha knows how to break the bones like Silvyster Stallone. Datha's sleeping beauty now repents for her faults and agree to end up with marriage.

The twists and turns in the description of our story we have purposely missed out something. That is because we strongly recommend for you to go to the theatre and watch the movie.

Darshan is not only dashing and he is at ease in his role. In stunts he has taken extra trouble and it is mind blowing. This is a casual first half for him. It is loaded with sentiments and action in the second half. Komal has done Kamaal. With a top star next to him he is cool as cucumber. He is so natural on screen.

Ramya is the sleeping beauty. She looks very cute in the opening scene. She has got colorful outfits. The role and even costumes is very short for her. Yet Ramya is ravishing in her role.

For Srinath this is quite an interesting role. Vinayaprasad in the role of mother and Avinash in two shades have rendered good support.

The song on mother and her significance, Manasa Manasa…., and raunchy song with the 'Sipayi Ramu' tune Vaharu mere Muruga…., are foot tapping. 'Pataan' of film music R.P.Patnayak has given music according to the moods. What is disturbing is the background score.

Ramesh Babu's cinematography is splendid. The interior shot especially while Ramys is sleeping he has played very well with darkness and candle light. The foreign locations are of course a treat to watch from his camera.

In the beginning of the film a tribute to Dr.Rajkumar with voice over from Dattu uncle is also a right thought by the right production team.

This is a good entertainer and worth your money
