Director A.M.R.Ramesh has come out from danger of being
a documentary film. This is the first scoring point for
him. His home work, dexterity in handling the shots and
the whole film aimed at disaster from the title 'Cyanide'
makes you sit through your edge of the seat because there
is tremendous amount of curiosity majority of the people
do not know.
From the day one of August 1991 till the last day the
seven member gang headed by Shivarasan takes 'Cyanide'
passes some soft elements but the toughness of the director
not concentrating on it deserves compliments. The trauma
of Mridula and Ranganath, the vigilant assassinators,
their sole motto to get out of the country, their hunt
for new house to stay, each one of them having different
thoughts but when it comes to difficulty the unity they
show and of course the police task force working on toes
have been captured very well by the director Ramesh.
The fabulous camera work, precise costume and superb performance
from Thara, Rangayana Raghu and Avinash lift the quality
of the film. There is possibility of actress Thara of
national acclaim bagging a few awards for her very understanding
of the role and natural performance. The dig at the bureaucracy
is slightly touched upon the director could have avoided
it. The background score of music further increase the
intensity generated on screen. There is some good support
from Ravi Kaale and Malavika.
This is not at all disappointing. This is one and half
hour film coolly watchable.
