    VarshaBack from Tamil film
'Chamakthihuyi Seethara' of Kannada cinema, national award winner THARA is back from a Tamil film 'Solli Adipen'. She is the counter part from famous Tamil actor Thalaivasan Vijay. Vivek is the hero of the film that is directed by Ramki. The meaning of the title is - Helbittu Hodiyodhu' (you tell and hit). This is a comedy film on the lines of Kurigalu, Kaththegalu says Thara looking plumb and plenty of hopes in life at Green House Restaurant. She was speaking to this correspondent at the get together party of 'Deadly Soma'.

Thara has received applause for her performance in 'Deadly Soma' (she looks like Kanooru Subbamma) and makes a point that a mother aspirations are too high and this is especially from the son. When he deviates from her expectations it is a boulder shock for mother. I have played a similar role in the film. The director did not say cut for one shot wherein I throw the ornaments from the trunk on the face of the police officer. It was too long a shot. I presumed the shot is over but there was no cut from director. I again continuted with the shot and even that portion has also come out well I was told said Thara. What happens if a best supporting actress award bestowed on Thara? I am ready to accept she says smilingly.

Sweet Kiss from Tara to VenuThara is now 'Hasina' Thara. But what she does not forget is the young blind child Bodhini Bhargavi. I had to struggle for 10 days to convince this little child. She is not ready to accept me as mother in the film. Why should I call you as 'Amma' my mother is somewhere else was the haughtiness of this innocent kid. She has no eyes but possess great strength in all respects. By the touch she explains everything she has the urge to know things faster. This child has acted very well and she deserves an award says Thara.

Thara who came straight from Chennai to attend the get together party also narrated a Tamil poem she had seen in 'Kalki'. That explains the Rakshas are not required for bloodshed today. Man himself is doing it. Bashing and beating is very high among us.

  • Is your husband Venu is munching the dry fruits even today?
No he has given up. He has overcome smoking.
  • How is your married life?
It has been fantastic. Not even single day we eat separately.
  • Is it true that you have minimum of offers?
I am making it very selective (thanks to National award?). I have a few offers in Tamil. When I look back in 200 films I have acted I remember worthwhile a few.
  • Why you did not make for 'Hasina' party at Cosmopolitan Club?
I knew there was party. That was on the preview day. I had to go for the temple in the evening. That's why I could not make it.
