It is hard to get beautiful heroines with brain. Shuba Punj the heroine of 'Jackpot' Kannada film a native of Mangalore who studied in Bishop Cotton School in Bangalore is both beautiful and brainy. But brain drain has landed her in Tamil films.

Shuba the serene looking sweet heroine on screen has already made foray in to Tamil films. Thirudiya Iyyathe, Valibaan, Oru Ponnu Oru Paiyya, Shanmuga are the films she had acted opposite Dushyanth, Kunal, Richard and Manoj.

Shuba Punj's mother is a teacher and father is an industrialist. Her one brother is in Kingfisher Airlines and the other one is running an adventure club.

She appeared in a daring costume for the media meet at Green House restaurant at the get together party hosted by producer Anekal Balaraj of 'Jackpot'.

Shuba is a Bharatanatyam dancer and at the age she started performing on stage. Discipline and hard work are my priorities. I want to do performance oriented roles like what Sridevi has done in 'Moonram Pirrai' says Shuba.

I want to prove from my roles from a minimum of films instead of making money from excessive films that too in inconsequential roles says this bubbly.
