Kannada
film industry's top line heroine Ramya has the knack of
making news whether in India or abroad. She has been presently
shooting in London for Tamil film Thoondil’ directed
by K.S. Adhiyaman in which she is being paired with Bangalore
boy Shaam.
The
film’s song and some important sequences have already
been shot in central London and other peripheral areas.
Ramya has been speaking to journalists from London and
is busy keeping them informed about her activities. She
has already spoken to “Chitraloka’ a little
earlier and this is the second installment of her interaction
with the portal before she left to Washington to attend
the World Kannada Conference organized by AKKA.
Ramya
is quite excited that she has signed her third film with
Puneet Raj Kumar titled as “Arasu’ which is
to start its shooting in the middle of September. The
film directed by “Akash’ director Mahesh Babu
will have Meera Jasmine playing another heroine’s
role. Earlier Ramya was paired with Power Star Puneet
in “Abhi’ and “Akash’ which became
silver jubilee hits. ‘Perhaps I am the only heroine
to have acted with Appu in three films. The film will
be a stylish presentation and I am very confident of this
film’ says the glamorous actress.
Another film
with which Ramya is quite happy is the Dinakar directed
“Jothe Jotheyalli’ which has been planned
for release on September 28.
“I
have an author backed role in ‘Jote Joteyalli’
directed by Divakar. I fell for the film when Dinakar
narrated the story for the first time. Till then I was
not sure whether I would do the role. Dinakar has also
worked hard for the film and he has a good team to back
him. The songs of the film are really good and melodious’
says Ramya. In this film Ramya is paired with Prem the
“Nenapirali’ hero.
Ramya
is also acting in "Thananam Thananam' directed by
award winning director Kavitha Lankesh. “I was particularly
happy about the way Kavitha Lankesh briefed me the script
of this film and told even the minor points connected
to my role. It would be unfair for me to say anything
about the film at this point of time. But the songs of
the film are awesome. Particularly one song which has
been shot on me and Veterans Bharathi Vishnuvardhan and
Girish Karnad sir in the film. It is like a devotional
song, but it is so melodious. I hope this song becomes
a rage after the release of the film’ says Ramya.
However, Ramya
did not want to elaborate about the presence of Rakshitha in the
film and how both of them had interacted during the shooting of
the film.
