GOVERNMENT HAS TO ANNOUNCE ITS PLANS BY APRIL 24

Ms. Parvathamma Raj Kumar, wife of Kannada Movie icon Dr. Raj Kumar says that the state government has to announce its plans for the actor's memorial before April 24, or otherwise the family would announce the plans to create a fitting memorial for the star.

Talking exclusively to "Chitraloka', the veteran producer said that they have heard that Rs. 3 crores has been earmarked in the budget for the memorial, but nothing concrete has been said about the steps to be taken for a memorial.

"There have been some meetings, but still we do not know what is happening. That is the reason why we are prepared to wait till April 24. Then we will announce the plans. We do not want to reveal anything about our plans until the government comes out with its plans for the memorial' she said.

"Dr. Raj Kumar was a god to me and he belonged to entire state. Not a day has passed since his death when all of us in the family have not remembered him. He remains etched in our memories. We see his films, recount many wonderful experiences with him, analyses how he behaved in some events and incidents. When we look at the way how he was adored by lacs of Kannadigas, it makes us extremely happy and proud. We have never thought that he is dead. We think he is somewhere and guiding us' said Ms. Parvathamma.
