This is a beautiful tale of a Bangalore boy Nikil Joshi who has made it big in United States of America today.

Nikil when he was six years young was operated in Deborah hospital Foundation with the help of his uncle Dr.Madhav Gudi. At this age after the survey he was given a plastic guitar. No one knew that Nikil at that age pick up interest in playing guitar. Looking at the interest of the cute boy his father Dr.Joshi purchased him a real guitar to play.

Thus the child prodigy at the age of 13 was born. In some of the European countries Nikil had given carnatic music concern from his western unmodified guitar.

Now coming back to 'Operation Jackpot'. It is for the same hospital Deborah where he was operated upon Nikil gave two charities concerned and earned bumper of proceeds for the hospital. In Indian currency the charity collected for the hospital from Nikil Joshi concert is Rs.12.50 lakhs. Operation for Nikil and Jackpot for the hospital! This is another form of Purandaradasa Keerthana Kereya Neeranu Kerege Challi…. Give back for the hospital that has given opportunity for you to live.

It was three years ago Nikil Joshi returned to United States on a scholarship to Brooklyn Poly-Tech for his master's degree in computer engineering. He is now working as analyst in City-Group.

In the newly formed New York/New England Region Children of the world chapter for Deborah the first major fund raising event was held at Shaan Restaurant. The most thrilled person among the audiences was Pediatric nurse Pam Dey who took care of Nikil 20 years ago. Nikil is now the Vice President of New York chapter.

Nikil Joshi was in Bangalore a few days ago on a visit after one and half years to attend the wedding silver jubilee function of his parents.
