Have
you ever heard of a bridge building up the thoughts? You
hear this tale of star guitarist Nikil Joshi who is now
one of the citizens of Wall Street near Manhattan in United
States of America. He drives frequently for one and half
hour stretch on the Verasana narrow bridge that connects
Statrtkin Island to Brooklyn that was built in 1964. One
fine day Nikil Joshi had a close look at this bridge and
appreciated at this wonder called suspension bridge. On
this bridge three million people travel every day. From
the day I looked at this splendor I started to learn appreciate
the architecture. I was totally moved and felt I have
a long way to travel in my life. To reach the pinnacle
it is not so easy Nikil feels.
That’s the
brilliance and mindset of Nikil Joshi a Bangalore boy
from Rajajinagar now ready to join the CITI group as financial
IT analyst in Wall Street of United States of America.
Back in Bangalore
to spend sometime with his proud father Dr.U.B.Joshi,
brother Kushal, mother, grandparents, relatives and friends
Nikil Joshi explained that the two years Masters course
he has done in high speed security services besides giving
various concerts in the week ends at USA mould him as
a more mature personality. He is now up to how to protect
on the attacks on credit cards. Picking the latest credit
from his purse he explained the danger ahead and how it
is protected.
‘I see a big
challenge now’. I am learning to market and sell myself.
USA no doubt a vast and competitive place. I have started
seeing the world in a different perspective. I have found
differences giving concerts in my unmodified guitar in
America and Europe. To update myself in music I am now
traveling with I-pod instrument that has a capacity of
40 gaga bites says Nikil.
Staying anywhere
in the world I can pursue my music career. I have given
a thought to start a school in Wall Street. After the
working hours I am left with lot of time. This idea came
to me when one Mr Vikram through my Satish uncle contacted
me when he heard my music in guitar while eating Idlis
in Mysore. He was so fascinated. He stays in USA and came
to a Christmas celebration last year at Satish uncle residence
to know more about music from guitar. Around 30 students
are eager to learn guitar from me. Besides this Mr Manohar
of Music Gallery India Private Limited is serious on a
fusion with my guitar and the genius L.Subramaniam violin,
the Veena maestro Raghunath Manet and of course with the
world famous Zakir Hussain on Tabla.
Fusion is
the present style around the world. I hear the Japanese
and Chinese pop besides the carnatic classical. I have
set aside 20 gaga bites for storing music in my I-Pod.
I am contemplating on getting the patent rights for my
style of music. Already various satellite channels have
picked the guitar music tuned by me without informing
me for their various programs. In such cases the patent
right restrict everyone from copying Nikil quipped at
his residence in Rajajinagar munching the desi chakkuli.
