Indrajith"I have decided to quit from direction". This is after completing my task in 'Aishwarya' Kannada film disclosed director Indrajith Lankesh at Karnataka Cricket Association Club on Saturday evening. He became very emotional in his address and said he is absolutely hurt with the remarks made by director of repute Girish Kasaravalli, Mukyamantri Chandru and Prof.B.K.Chandrasekhar. I am hurt. I am pained with wrong allegations on my film 'Monalisa' Indrajit repeatedly told in his short thanks giving address to media.

When a person like Girish Kasaravalli makes serious attacks on the day of receiving the first best film for my film 'Monalisa' it hurts me completely. For the respect I have on chief minister H.D.Kumaraswamy I attended the awards evening at Ramanagaram he said. Mr Girish Kasaravalli is a superstar. I have great respect for him. But why did he present the award for a remake film (he presented the award to actress Shruthi for her performance in Rama Shama Bhama) from his hand at a private satellite channel program recently. Mukyamantri Chandru rise hue and cry on remakes but when he came on stage at Ramanagaram he patted me that I have done a good job. When he is against to remakes and trying to dislodge my reputation joining Kasaravalli and gang what integrity he has to pat me on stage. This is double standard. He does not have guts to be straightforward. Prof.B.K.Chandrasekhar speaking to me over telephone from New Delhi says he is not aware of the facts before he rouses the issue at legislative Council Indrajith explained.

I underwent lot of mental tension from the last one week. Now I have decided to file a petition against those who said 'Monalisa' is a remake. I am filing the papers shortly through my lawyer Mr Ponnanna who is the son of Mr A.K.Subbaiah.

What I want to know from the legal battle is that my detractors have to prove that my film 'Monalisa' is a remake.

Pointing to the insult meted out to his father's name he took the bureaucracy for task. In the two cheques of Rs.1 lakh and Rs.20000 they have wrongly spelt the names as LAWKESH AND LAKESH. This cannot be honored in the bank and I cannot tolerate this lethargy. I have decided to donate this amount to charity expressed Indrajith.

Most of the media friends who attended this briefing did not agree to the retirement of Indrajith Lankesh from films.
