Bharathi Vishnuvardhan
The unforgettable actress of yesteryears Bharathi Vishnuvardhana now picking the roles very carefully is of the firm opinion that right from the tumbler boy to the producer all should work in a disciplined manner to contribute to the success of the film. Hard work always pays returns she believes in a chat with media persons at Kanteerava studios on the muhurut day of ‘Maharaja’ Kannada film. Bharathi Vishnuvardhana plays the mother of Sudeep in the film.

Here is a quick chat with Bharathi Vishnuvardhana:

  • Why the viewers of your regime are not coming to theatres nowadays?
Because, I am not in all the films (laughs)! The viewers of our time require good quality films. Some of them make films only for making money.
  • What is so interesting for you? You do not accept regular films?
I liked some of the scenes in this film. I played mother role in mega television serial ‘Janani’ and this opposite to that role. I stay in the house and complete my tasks here. For getting peace from the family tussle I walk out from the house in ‘Janani’. The mother supporting the protagonist who is abandoned is told in a convincing style.
  • What happened to your wish to act with your husband superstar Vishnuvardhana?
The wish is still there. But the God has to show the way.
With experience and back up you have you can direct a film?
That wish was corrected by Puttannaji. I was supposed to direct Aradhana Kannada film. But I was rightly advised. Then I asked Puttanaji why is he not making use of other heroines in his films?
  • Then what happened?
I got a call one day from Puttannaji. That was for ‘Runamukthalu’ and that gave me a big turn in life. The breakthrough was for the second time in my life.
  • What name you have kept for your grandson?
Apremeya – meaning Srikrishna. In the academic records he will be called as ‘Jeshtavardhana’.
