‘Kalkyavathara’ begins on Kannada screen. The hit combination of ‘Raktha Kanneeru’ Upendra and Munirathnam is back again in ‘Kalki’ that went on the floors on the birthday of Upendra September 18 at Bangalore. Posani Krishnamurali is the story- writer and director of the film. Upendra is penning the dialogues. The producer of this film has announced the release of this film would be on April 27, 2006 on the muhuruth day. I believe in numerology. Number 9 is very important for me. Today is September 18, the month is 9th the muhurut time has been fixed at 9 am and release is 27th and on 27th date Upendra’s ‘Kutumba’ was released that earned good report at the box office says Munirathana. His friend Ganesh Shastry from Kumta was also present to give lecture on number 9. The media was not ready to hear the already known concept from him.

Director Posani Krishnamurali has lent more than 100 scripts to films so far. He has directed ‘Shravana Masa’ for his own banner. When he narrated the subject to producer Munirathnam he was asked to direct this film like the narration. This is a good entry for me says Posani addressing the media. 

Utopian Upendra plays the dual role of a police officer and politician in this film. How these two behave in this Kaliyuga for the subject. There is good and bad of both the field. When you hear what politician says in this film you would feel that he is perfect. But the ultimate of both police and politician is focused in this film. This will be narrated in hilarious and attacking style with punching dialogues says Upendra – the birthday boy who turned 38 for this September 18.

The birthday of Upendra was also celebrated at Kanteerva studio with large turn out of fans. Some of the fans bought cakes but the huge one was that of producer Munirathnam. It was 12 feet in height. Rajajinagar MLA Narendra Babu was also present at the muhuruth of ‘Kalki’.
