Forget
the inevitability in selection of 20 films under quality
tag the knowledgeable producer cum actress Jayamala heading
the Quality Committee has come out with useful suggestions
this time to the government of Karnataka. None of the
earlier members have taken this strain and this is what
we call the progressive approach.
First
the list:
Kanti, Hudgiru Saar Hudgiru, Shuklam Baradharam, Aadhi,
Mitayi Mane, Sardara, Santosha, Mellusire Savigana, Aaha
Nanna Thangi Madhuve, Thali Kattuva Shuba Vele, Mani,
Chappale, Hai Chinnu (where did this film got released),
Love, Avale Nanna Gelathi, Kanchana Ganga, Monalisa, Beru,
Haseena and Gowdru.
Next the suggestions:
- The
government thought of separate committee to look into remake films.
But nothing of that sort has happened.
- This
time Remake and dubbed films have been sent but they have been
rejected. They do not figure in the guidelines of the government.
- Those
who come out with fake certificates to get subsidy should be identified
and for 3 years no facility from the government should be extended
to such persons.
- Those
who pick from various films and produce should be carefully observed
and kept away.
- The
subsidy should be announced on the grounds of A B and
C.
" A category films - national, international recognized films
- they should get subsidy of Rs.25 lakhs.
- B
category films - Creative films that highlight the language and
culture of this state - subsidy of Rs.10 lakhs.
- C
category films - keeping away the violent, sex, remake and remix
films - Subsidy of Rs.5 lakhs.
- The
quality committee members who come to Bangalore to view
the films from outside should be given proper lodging
facility.
For those who are not happy with the list of films selected may
feel a sigh of high relief from the suggestions put forward by
Smt.Jayamala.
