Besides
telling that 'Sri' has many firsts to its credit producer
Dushyanth (Ananthnag envy his name - had he known his
name earlier he would kept his name as Dushyanth Nag)
complimented director N.S.Shanker for having given the
title 'Sri' registered in his name. On one Friday director
Shanker has given the nod and that is the first good beginning
for me says Dushyanth. Today's meet is to thank him said
Dushyanth at Arjun Art Studio in Malleswaram Bangalore.
Director N.S.Shanker reacting to the compliments said
director Prakash is the brightest among the new crop of
directors.
What
are the firsts to the credit of 'Sri' team: For the first
time an Indian that too Kannadiga got trained in Mua Thai
and appearing on the silver screen, a Belly dancer Meera
from California is making her first presence on Indian
screen, all the three prominent cameras have been pressed
in to action, No HMI lights only PAR lights have been
used for the shooting in all 70 days.
avendra
says I was prepared for it and safety kept me going. A
doctor and medical van was around all the time. We had
taken Dr.Satyan Puttur and he was there for sometime but
when his need came he was not there in Bangkok. A scratch
on the head, for hand and for leg received minor injuries
because all the portions were real for the reel said Vijay
Raghavendra. After the muscle tension we moved to the
song portion and then again on the last day of shoot on
July 31 we shot again the action portion. Now I have been
restricted from action scenes for sometime added Vijaya
Raghavendra.
Producer
Dushyanth is a happy man. It is because the effort completed
is like that. Vijay Raghavendra has done excellent work.
The box shot culture in Bangkok helped me a lot. The three
days box shot preparation and completion of shooting in
one day has saved me from time and money. This system
should be applied here also says Dushyanth. In all there
we were 52 persons in the team including a team of cook
to give Indian food. The constant team was 33 for 45 days
shoot. The film has a belle dance from Meera Verma who
is an Indian living in California. In a set at Alaska
25 dancers also took part in that song. What is noteworthy
is that the Mumbai actor Rahul Dev who had come for the
shoot is also aware of the kick boxing and Mua Thai style
of action. After looking at the action scenes performed
by Vijaya Ragahvendra he opined that this film ‘Sri’ is
the first authenticated Mua Thai art film in Indian cinema.
Action
director Ravi Varma who was part of the action team in
Bangkok feels that whatever work he does in future he
will not forget director Prakash and producer Dushyanth.
I have learnt so much to introduce in Kannada films. Like
how you feel ambitious to eat a fruit you see, such was
the condition there. You would feel like doing more and
more work because the safety measures are like that. I
have brought Rs.70000 worth materials to Bangalore. In
the market fight, chase sequence, auto jump, rolling in
the air hitting at the chest of the opponents and piercing
through the ring of fire Vijaya Raghavendra is a treat
to watch. He has the gusts and bubbling with energy always
says Ravi Verma.
