Hilarious Film 'Rsb' On Floors

Gynecologist Dr.Sham a surgeon is the character name of India’s best actor Kamal Hassan in his come back Kannada film ‘Rama Shama Bhama’. Ramesh Arvind is making debut as director and he is definitely going to reach heights is what Kamal forecast. When I was a child actor Sethumadhavan made debut and in later stages Balu Mahendra and Bharathiraja made debut as directors and prospered. When I can do direction it is possible for Ramesh Aravind to take up direction informed Kamal Hassan at the pre launch of his Kannada film at Hotel Ashok on Tuesday evening. The film went on floors on Wednesday morning.

Addressing a mammoth gathering Kamal Hassan said ‘Thank You’ for the welcome given is not just enough. This day remains in my memory. The Industry, the media and the common cine audience welcome me and showered love and affection. I have sentimental and romantic attachment to Bangalore. Karnataka people have never let down my films. I am doing a Kannada film that is an updated version of ‘Sathi Leelavathy’. I am sure this would be a comedy entertainer and I am looking forward to your applause Kamal quipped.

Later speaking to film media Kamal Hassan disclosed that he is using the Hubli region accent of Kannada in the film. When Sathi Leelavathi was a hit in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi why it cannot be a hit in Kannada Kamal answered the first question. It is a rehashed version with latest update and it will be a fine dinner for the audience. We could not use the mobile phone in those days. Now we play some tricks with that tool of communication. I am working for as many days as the director Ramesh ask for. For the last 20 years I am doing just that for any director. What producer is looking for is revenue and artiste look for applaud admitted Kamal. There is scope for this Kannada version to get dubbed to Malayalam. Those who had seen Sathi Leelavathi there will be some surprises says Kamal.

In the forthcoming days he sees the possibility of two to three projects in Kannada. Reacting on the quality south Indian films not screening at International level the South Indian films are not projected there he feels. They feel only Hindi is everything? As for as our makers are concerned, the feel of Indian approach to any language is what utmost required. In the early 70’s I used to come with friends to Bangalore to watch good quality films like ‘Kaadu and Boothayana Maga Ayyu’. Bangalore was the happening point for all of us he added.

At this stage superstar Vishnuvardhana came to offer best wishes to Kamal Hassan at the press briefing. Kamal and Vishnuvardhan hugged each other. Immediately Kamal remembered the role played by Vishnuvardhana in ‘Marudhanayaka’ a historical film. That will be started again he reiterated. I would be showing it as ‘Marudhanayaka’ after 10 years. Had the US finance been available at the right time the film would have been a talk of the town for the last few years he expressed his confidence on the subject. Kamal’s unreleased film ‘Ladies Only’ is yet to see the light of the day. Marketing that film is the hardship he averred.

The evening of pre launch also belonged the ravishing actor who is now turning as director Ramesh Aravind. He expressed his anxiety and emotions. He asked for the audience, industry and media to be with him in this project. I always believe in good wishes Ramesh said. I grew up watching Dr.Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhana and Kamal Hassan films. I used to imitate Kamalji roles in my house. Today in my debut he is the big force for me in ‘Rama Shama Bhama’ film. First two weeks Kamal Hassan is taking part in the shooting and in the second schedule he is planning to work for a few more days. As of now the plan is to release RSB in August says Ramesh. As a doctor the famous actor is giving psychological answers to the problems in the film. For Rama and Shama there will be ‘Ulta Pulta’ situation in some scenes explained Ramesh. The opening for Kamal Hassan in the film will be ‘Look who is coming to Bangalore’ style. Kamal at this stage checked Ramesh Aravind and said what yaar you are leaking the question paper! 

Producer K.Manju offered ‘Sashtanga Namaskara’ to Kamal Hassan for accepting this film. I am a happy and lucky man. With an artiste like Kamal Hassan who always thinks of cinema all the 24 hours I am extremely happy to be a part as a producer. He is the main backbone of this film. Manju remembered what Vishnuvardhana had told him. ‘You have the Yoga and Yogyathe go ahead was what Vishnuji wished me Manju recalled.

The arrangement for the pre-launch of the film ‘RSB’ was made by Imran Sardaria. Ramesh Aravind has Rajendra Karanth and Deshpande to support him in dialogues. P.K.H.Das is the cameraman and Gurukiran the top music director today is scoring five tunes for ‘RSB’.
