Prakash Rai (Raj) is known for setting trends. Whether it is acting, producing a films or personal life. He is flooded with novel thoughts and sensible ideas. This chilling actor of Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi is paying wonderful tribute to his mentor K. Balachander on Sunday 12th February 2006 at a wonderful function in Chennai.

This is a triple occasion for Prakash Rai. His 'guru' KB enters the 75th year, the Tamil film 'Poi' audio release and honoring all those artistes and technicians from all the languages who worked under the direction of KB - the master director.

The two main cynosures of Tamil films - Rajanikanth and Kamal Hassan are expected to take part in this function. From Kannada Ramesh Aravind, Shruthi, Sridhar, Sudnerraj, Srinath, Jayanthi, Ashok and others have been invited to receive the honor on 12th evening gala function in Chennai.
