The
'Ajatha Shatru' of Kannada filmdom, the humble and simple
with heaps and bounds of experience K.C.N.Chandrasekhar
was elected President of South Indian Film Chamber of
Commerce once again. This is for the second time he is
occupying the prestigious chair. The 2005-2006 annual
general body meeting held at Preview Theatre in Chennai
on Sunday ( 20th November 2005) evening elected the new
members of SIFCC for its 66th year.
The
list of office bearers are:
President
– K.C.N.Chandrasekhar, Vice President – Studios group
– D.Suresh Babu, Producers group – A.Kothandaramaiah (KR),
Distributors group K.S.Nagarajan Raja, Exhibitors group
M.Subramaniam, Honarary secretaries – Studios and Producers
group – K.Edida Nageswara Rao, Distributors and Exhibitors
group – K.Venugopal, Treasurer – Ravi Kottarakara.
In
the annals of Kannada film history the name of KCN Chandrasekhar
is unforgettable for his service and contribution to the
industry. He is a top producer, distributor and exhibitor
from Karnataka with national repute. He has flourished
in silk business too.
KCN
Chandrasekhar group has made enormous and outstanding
contributions to the development of Kannada film industry
and Karnataka. It has distributed over 500 films and produced
50 Kannada films. In Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Hindi
it has produced feature films.
Chandrasekhar
attended several national and international level seminars
held in India and abroad. One of the well informed persons
of the Industry Chandrasekhar has rich experience. He
has served in the socio-educational-cultural boards of
India. An eminent personality fit to the shoulder newer
and higher responsibilities at the national level.
