While
there was a small tension in Mysore on the cutouts of
‘Jogi’ (both Shivrajkumar and director Prem cut out size
was equal – Prem cut out was torn for equalizing with
the superstar) the happy news is that Shivrajkumar starring
‘Jogi’ Kannada film directed by Prem has been very well
received prior to the release. From last two days (Monday)
the tickets are sold at Kapali and Veeresh theatre in
Bangalore. In Mandya there is a ‘Jogi’ festival. In all
over Karnataka the maiden venture P. Krishnaprasad (official
producer!) of Ashwini studio has received excellent reception.
The
craze of this film was not heard in the past for any Kannada
film. The tickets are sold at Rs.800 in the black market.
Puneeth
Rajkumar who was speaking to media persons at Rockline
Studio on Wednesday (on the sets of his film ‘Namma Basava’)
afternoon said he has switched off his mobile phone. That
is because he has so many people asking for the tickets
of his brother Shivrajkumar film ‘Jogi’. After my father’s
film ‘Shabdavedi’ I am getting calls from various people
asking for tickets Puneeth smiles and this type of craze
should be there for all Kannada films he feels.
