Lahari
Recording company Velu, Ashwini Recording company Ramprasad
and Anand Audio Mohan are of the same opinion that there
is a huge down fall of audio industry. Perhaps this is
the opinion of another leading audio house Akash Recording
Company. The similarity of all them is that all of them
produced films. Except Ashwini Ramprasad 'Jogi' the
remaining audio houses - Lahari's 'Maha Kshatriya', Anand
Audio's 'Rowdy Aliya' and Akash's audio's '1,2,3' bombed
at the box office.
The stars who are taking
Rs.20 lakhs for their film's audio would not even get Rs.2 lakhs
next year. It is not possible to sell 10000 pieces of any audio
cassettee. The sale of 50000 as claimed by N.M.Suresh of '7'O Clock'
is a bogus. If anyone shows the pukka sale documents of 50000 cassettes
today then I will close the shutters of Anand Audio says deeply
hut Mohan not in frustration but swallowing the hard truth. The
invasion of pirated MP3 that is selling 500 songs at the rate of
Rs.20 is eating away our business. The persons who opt for cassettes
are also fact decreasing.
Ramprasad agrees that
it is only 'Jogi' that is superb in audio sale. He is not telling
that because it is his home production. But that is a fact. Before
starting Jogi Kannada film Ramprasad had stopped buying film audio
for one year. He was banking on the sale of basic programs. But
poor quality of film music withdrew him from buying film audio.
Velu says it has been
a difficult task to buy films. None of them are promising. We are
paying outright of Rs.25000 for films like 'Dushman' and long ago
we have stopped the royalty basis of selling. The reason why it
has been a down fall is because of poor quality. Lahari Velu has
strong hopes on his recent buy Ramya Chaitra Kala. It is because
of Sunilkumar Desai he has paid Rs.3.5 lakhs. His earlier calculations
did not boomrang. Desai's Nammura Mandhara Hoovu yielded excellent
returns. The surprise was 'Amruthvarshini'. The profit rain came
to Lahari recording from this film album.
