ASHWATH IS EX PRESIDENT
He Plays A Role In A Film

Veteran singer and composer C.Ashwath has played the role of first President of India Dr.Babu Rajendra Prasad in a Kannada film ‘Dr.B.R.Ambedkar’ in which the producer of the film Vishnukanth plays the title role. Ashwath speaking to this correspondent over telephone from Mysore said that he has liked the role. It was 45 minutes shooting for the film in one of the colleges. In the capacity of President of India I hand over the charges to Dr.Ambedkar to arrive at the constitution. The role of Jawaharalal Nehru played by former state award winning editor Swamy was also present at this shooting spot. The role comes to about three minutes on the screen. The choice was from the producer side so I agreed recalls Ashwath.
 
C.Ashwath who is not only good singer, he is a good human being too. He played the role of judge in ‘Manvanthara’ television serial and the role of singer in ‘Mathadana’ both directed by T.N.Seetharam.
