‘AKKA’S UNIQUE THOUGHT
2 Months Cultural Program 'Manoranjini'

The Association of Kannada Kootas of America (AKKA) Charitable Foundation is organizing two months cultural programs in September and October 2005 in 13 places to raise funds and spread education. The theme of this two months cultural program is ‘Educate a Karnataka Child’. Providing books, teaching materials, classroom infrastructure, mid day meal etc are some of the schemes ‘AKKA’ has chalked out. It will trace the needy villages, towns where the requirement is a must with the help of NGO’s.

The two months live entertainment program will be attended by cine actors Ananth Nag, Ramesh Arvind, Sudha Bargur, a well known TV personality / humorist and Ms. Shylaja Santosh, Udaya TV hostess. The orchestra will be lead by the renowned singer Mrs. B.R. Chaya, Sri Yashawanth Halebandi, Sri Ram Prasad along with others. The troupe will perform skits by Ramesh and his group of artists, humorous monologues, scintillating music by the Orchestra and more to captivate the audience. 

AnanthnagThe live performances will be held during the months of September-October of 2005 in 13 cities including San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago, Detroit, Austin, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Charleston, Nashville, and Minneapolis.

AKKA is grateful to all these artists who are performing in America FREE OF CHARGE to raise funds for the poor and deserving children back home. This 'Manoranjani' program is the first of the many programs planned for fund raising.  The fund raising efforts will continue through out the year.
