The
title has been finalised as "Beedi Basava' and
not as 'Beedi Basavanna' as has been publicised in the
title or the vinyl banners of the film. This was announced
by director Kodlu Ramakrishna during the launch of the
film recently. After the traditional muhurath for which
the clap was done by actor Jaggesh himself, a media
conference was organised where Jaggesh, the film's heroine
Nikitha, director Kodlu Ramakrishna and the three producers
were present.
Jaggesh
said that Kodlu Ramakrishna was appraoching him for
many years for doing a film but the time has come now
for the launch of this comedy oriented film. "He
had told me two stories out of which I had liked the
story idea of "Beedi Basava'. And then Kodlu took
nearly four months to write the script along with Actor
Mohan. I had also involved in the making of the script
and I entered the discussion in the fag end of the script
writing process. I gave some suggestions which were
incorpotated in the script' said Jaggesh. Jaggesh said
that the film will have a performance oriented role
for him and the film will have comedy, action and sentiments
in a right blend.
Kodlu
Ramakrishna said that normally he would take one or
two months to write the script for all his films, but
in the case of Beedi Basava this exercise had taken
him nearly four months. He thanked Mohan for involving
in writing the script and had a special thanks to Jaggesh
who had taken more than normal interest in the making
of the script.
Heroine
Nikitha said that she is playing a simple village girl's
role in the film who is very supportive to the hero.
Nikitha has already worked in Maharaja with Sudeep.
She has also worked in films like "Tata Birla'
and "Raja Kumari' which are yet to be released.
