'Muralidhar
Halappa, producer of the hugely appreciated film "Cyanide'
directed by M.R.Ramesh says that the rights for the dubbing
and remake efforts for the film is still retained by him
and he has the authentic documents to prove his claims.
"I am constrained
to make this announcement only to protect my business interests and
also my reputation. I value my reputation more than anything else
and that is the precise reason why I chose to keep silent despite
finding some irregularities during the making of the film.
My
intention of making a good Kannada film has materialised
and the film has been much appreciated by the media and
the quality conscious audience. The business returns of
the film was not paramount in my mind when I made in my
film, but still I thought my business interest will be
protected if I retain the dubbing rights of the film as
the story of the film had an universal appeal. Now, I
here there are some vested interests who are spreading
news which are contrary to the facts.
Frankly speaking,
I do not have any control if any person or any organisation makes
statements of false hood with a view to create some confusion. But
I can only present the facts and supportive evidence to prove my claim.
If any person chooses to verify my claim he can walk into my office
and verify details' says Muralidhar Halappa.
Halappa says that
he is interested to make films in future also and that is the precise
reason why he wants to protect his reputation as a clean and honest
film maker.
