The
Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has called for a meeting
of the Kannada film industry representatives on October
11 to hammer out a solution to the present crisis.
Briefing
the media persons in a press conference, H.D. Gangaraju, President
of the KFCC expressed the hope that any issues will be resolved
if it is discussed in a negotiating table in a spirit of give and
take.
He
also said that the film chamber has now decided to take
action against all those responsible for violating the
instructions in releasing Chiranjeevi starrer 'Stalin'
in more number of theatres in the state. S.A. Chinnegowda,
Treasurer of the KFCC was also present in the press conference.
Chinnegowda said that the Kannada film producers association should
try and find out who was responsible for the release of Chiranjeevi
starrer “Stalin' in more number of centers in the state. "Proper
investigations would certainly reveal the truth. According to our
information some of the producers themselves had shown excessive
interest in getting "Stalin' in more number of theatres' said
Chinnegowda.
"The
investigations may lead to a few prominent producers who are behind
the present agitation to stop production activities of new films.
Because of the mistakes of a few influential producers, many of
the genuine producers who wanted to launch new films are suffering
now' charged Gangaraj.
Chinnegowda
said that many top producers were not taken into confidence and
a few disgruntled producers have called for a meeting and forced
a decision on a majority of producers.
Gangaraj
said that the producers have now confirmed that they will attend
the film chamber's meeting on October 11 and hoped a solution to
the present crisis will be hammered at that meeting.
