The
allegations of sex abuse made by four female dancers against
Actor and Producer Eri Swamy took a curious turn today
as the actor has demanded all the allegations made against
him.
Addressing a press
conference on Monday, Eriswamy who is co-producing the film "Guna'
has not only denied all the charges made against him, but has also
alleged that the dancers themselves had used abusive words against
him.
In a press statement
released to the press, Mr Eri Swamy has said that he was busy in the
dubbing work of is film on last friday at the Abbaiah Naidu Studios,
when the four dancers who were working for the dance sequence of "Pallakki'
had stormed into the dubbing theatre to create disturbance. The actor
who is being launched in the film "Guna' also added that it was
the four female dancers who had provoked him and abused him. "They
told me that I am looking like a Monkey and unfit to play the lead
role in the film.
They also demanded
that I show them the song sequences of the film, though I was busy
in the dubbing work of my film in the neighbouring Karisubbu studios.
Despite their imtemparate outbursts made against me, I remained calm
and composed. They alleged that I had possessed weapons to harm them,
but when I went straight to the nearby Hoysala police van to get checked
of all my belongings. The police found that I had no weapons.
Then the dancers
got a phone call from Ashok, the president of Okkoota that they have
to call off their agitation. The next day I found in news papers that
I have become a target of their attack. It is shameful on their part
to charge me with such acts which I have not committed in my life
time. I am also a politician and knows how to behave in the public.
They wanted to tarnish my image and now I have to publicly state what
had really happened on that day' said Eri Swamy.
Meanwhile, the
dancers are continuing with their agitational programme of not working
in any films till Eri Swamy seeks an apology for his behaviour.
