'Directing and acting in the same film may be a little easier I thought, because I had a background to have worked with top directors. But it is also strenuous. The pleasures are there, but it is also a pressure filled job' said Prakash Raj in a press meet organised in the hilltop of the controversial Datta Peeta - Bababudangiri where a song line was being shot.
Prakash did not speak more about the reasons for replacement of the film's heroine (now Amoolya has been selected in place of Ramya), but only added that good films are capable of selecting their own artists. He said that working with all the artists whom he knew better as theatre artists have brought in wonderful results for the film. "They are committed to the core and giving their best. To be frank I find every artist, technician and workers of the film are so exuberant that they are putting their best efforts for the film. Every one person working in this film feel that they are working for a path breaking film in Kannada' said Prakash Raj.Amoolya said that she has been working for four to five days for the film and each day she is learning one thing or the other. "I am fortunate to be part of this film which has given me such a good role. I never expected to be part of this film till I got a telephone call from Shylaja Nag madam. Everything went so smooth for the film that within a day everything was ready. My costumes, agreement and travel plans and dates were given to me. I find lot of professionalim in the day the unit is working here. I will definitely give my best for this film' said Amoolya. Actress Sitara who was known as Sentiment Sitara during her earlier days in the Kannada film industry is now making a comeback to the Kannada film industry after many years. 'I had a huge respect on Prakash Raj as an actor, but now after working with him for a few days I think he deserves huge respect as a director also' said Sitara. The other artists of the film like Veena Sundar, Neenasam Achyutha and Rajesh Nataranga also spoke. The film's producer B. Suresha gave details about the progress of film.
