Gandugali K.Manju is already on the job of producing three big films in the year 2013. The first of them will have its muhurath on January 9. Guru Deshpande who had earlier directed "Varasudhaara' is directing this film.
The film titled as "Raja Huli' is the remake of Tamil Hit "Sundarapandian' for which K.Manju and Guru Deshpande were distributors for the state of Karnataka. Yash will be doing another rural oriented film in "Raja Huli' and he is paired with Meghana Raj who has not done any Kannada film after her debut film "Punda".
K.Manju had organised a press meet of the film in which music maestro Hamsalekha, director Guru Deshpande, dialogue writer Manju Mandavya,, Yash and Meghavna Raj were present along with him.
K.Manju said that director Guru Deshpande who showed lot of desire in directing the Kannada version of the film has won half the battle as the story is very good. "The story is about friendship and how the bond of friendship will supercede every other aspect in our life.
With such a powerful story, we thought to give the responsibility of music direction to Hamsalekha. I had been in talks with Yash for the past two years and I think this subject is best suitable for him. I just said Guru Deshpande that Meghana Raj will perfectly suit the role of the heroine'' said K.Manju.
Guru Deshpande said that the story of the film has retained the essence of the original film, but some aspects like nativity is considered. 'We are shooting for the film in Kollegal. The film has lot of fun, sentiment well gelled' said Guru Deshpande.
Yash expressed happiness to be part of a K.Manju production and said that he is now acting in a baner which has made several films with legends like Dr. Vishnuvardhana.
Meghana Raj said that the offer was a new year bonus to her and she plays the role of a girl next door in the film.
Hamsalekha said that he is doing all original tunes for the film. Manju Mandavya said that there was lot of hard work done for the film for finalising the final script and also dialogue writing work.
