The audio of Upendra starrer Horror-comedy flick "Kalpana' was released on Friday evening in the presence of well wishers and media persons. K.V.Chandrashekhar, President of the KPCC, Sa.Ra. Govindoo, Vice President of the KFCC and Thomas D'Souza of the exhibition sector were present during the occassion. Along with Upendra, the film's heroine Lakshmi Rai and Shurthi who is playing an important role in the film was also present. However, the film's producer-director was not present during the function as he was busy in the Censoring process of the film. As the audio release function concluded, there was a happy news that trickled down down indicating that the film which is a remake of Tamil Hit film "Kanchana' was censored with U/A certificate. The media persons were shown clippings of four songs and trailers.
Upendra said he had a golden opportunity to act with veteran and talented artists like Shurthi and National award winning actress Umashri. 'I think if I survive and make an impact when these two artists are around, it will be a great achievement for me. Kalpana is not like other stereotyped films, but it is filled with lot of entertainment values and has a message for the people also. I think Ram Narayan has done a good job in delivering a good entertainer'' said Upendra.
Talking about music director Hari Krishna, the Real Star said that he has been hitting boundaries and sixes in his films which has continued even in Kalpana.
Shruthi said that she was happy to be part of this film as she has got an opportunity to act with Upendra. 'Upendra will prove to be an actor of greater heights in Kalpana. I have worked in Ram Narayan sir's earlier films also, but this one I really enjoyed the most' said Shruthi.
Umashri came to the function towards the fag end.
